I think Rodgers gets bored after about 18 months anywhere.
A few months before that he’ll play Rodgers bingo - blame the players, fans, owners, fixture congestion, the weather - those hot October games, lack of recruitment, and bizarre press conferences.
His shelf life anywhere should be 2 seasons minimum. No way he joins anyone facing relegation like Wolves or West Ham.
More likely a comfortable mid table side like Palace or Fulham.

As long as its not us I couldn't give a flying fvck who the back stabbing odious little cretin joins.

Let him go and sabotage another team when he wants to engineer an exit with a substantial payoff...

Parasite..........

He's a terrible manager. He consistently leaves clubs in a worse position.

Good coach, he should take up national team coaching where he just works with a finite number of players and can't get his grimey hands on the finances.

Players only have to see him a few times a year as well so wouldn't be able to suck the life out of them.

Imagine an international team puts in a performance like ours against Roma where they just hold onto the ball and dont try and score despite being down.

The country would be in uproar.

Agree. I couldn’t care less. I just hope clubs are now getting used to what a lying ***** he is.

The man I like!

But the manager I’m unconvinced by, hate how he bangs on about this ‘outstanding’ youth academy being one of the selling points to come here and then neglects them ( so far)

Has got 75% of the starting elevens wrong this season, tbf to him early on in the season his substitutes were hitting the money, but recently they’ve been abysmal and we look to have been found out

Tomorrows a huge game for him, against a team that will be down there with us if we get slapped with a heavy points deduction

His substitutions that were ok are now panic subs. His team selections are boring. The team formation is drab. He bangs on about the youngsters yet ignores them except for Monga. We have 3 strikers who are useless. We have hardly any pace. We can’t score from set pieces yet we have fans who call him a great manager ffs. I would rather have Puel then this guy

Remember a QPR fan saying on here in the summer he often got it wrong at the start and had a knack of making good subs to win points/matches.

Yet to see him really alter a match positively yet that often. Usually has the opposite effect.

Jury still out, but has the chance next 2 home games to win everybody back and get us back in the mix again. Here's hoping.

Lets be honest .. He is a very average manager with a very average team. The results are not surprising !!!

I agree,

But.. as average as this team is, I think we are under performing under him.

With better team selections that don't continue to utilise, your Soumare's, your Faes' etc, who hinder more than help, with more creative tactics that doesn't borrow on the  build from the back philosophy.

It bugs the hell out of me that we still hit the halfway line,  and our limited players see limit options, as we have taken an age to get there, and we have allowed the opposition time to get organised, so we turn around and the ball finds its way back to the keeper.  We then start pi$$ing around outside our own 18 yd box inviting unwanted and needless pressure with a mini "pass fest " and either loose the ball, give away a foul in a dangerous area, or the keeper punts it out for a opposition throw in..

Surely a better manager would see this doesn't work with this perticular squad, see who the liabilities and lazy so and so's on the pitch are and have the balls to drop them.

Actually formulate tactics to match the strengths of the better players left and not try to shoe horn substandard players into whats becoming an outdated style of play, one that unless you have world class players at your disposal  that an opposition untilising a low block has a good start to nullify.

Marti the gentleman l like, but Marti the manager still making the same team selections and tactical mistakes with his Manager's Hat on  not so much, and I think the pressure is mounting and he won't make Xmas.

I can’t see past 2 points from 9 in these next 3 games. Today is a draw all over. Similar story to Pompey and Wrexham. Middlesbrough will win. They did the double last time and they are better and us worse than then. I can see a comfortable away win for them. And Norwich away, yeah they are crap but we are bad away (Swansea aside). Can see us scrambling a draw but don’t see where a win comes from in these next 3.

But as has been said, we could give Marti the boot in the break and with dumb and dumber in charge, finances and this group of players, the prospect of it achieving anything positive are slim.

It really does seem like time to just introduce some of the kids and look ahead. At the moment, are just wasting a season here.

The only times he has made subs to change the game in our favor, is when he kept the better players on the bench in Ricardo and Winks.

How does he still start Thomas.
Why play Faes and Vestegaard when it has not worked for, since they signed.
speaks on academy yet only plays one in monga ! Nelson can not even get in match day squad.
0 players have shown any sign of improvement since Marti joined.
then tactics, nothing. Can’t remember the last time we created any decent chance. Mavididi Coventry maybe a few games ago. His tactics allow only a worldview from Fatawu, James that’s it.

we have been at this position before. We need a similar manager to Pearson. Remove highly paid players whose egos overstate ability.
Pearson had to get rid of Beckford and Mills before we started to do well. Marti needs to remove Faes, Vestegaard, Soumare. Whilst he continues to play them, we will see the results we are having now.

Remember when Pearson came back and had a real job on his hands which included an expensively assembled squad of players that weren’t gelling. Some of these were on high wages and big fees and there was no magic wand or quick fix.

Expectations were high and he had to balance off trying to shift some players on whilst maintaining some sell on potential and trying to build a new culture and  win games of football, in reality it took a good season or two for it to settle down and in those early months there were some very inconsistent performances and results.

This feels like a very similar situation, with a number of players still here who clearly will not be here long term, however there is still an expectation to be challenging for promotion so the Manager has to balance it off with also exposing young academy players to these high pressured situations, whilst also trying to ensure the atmosphere and culture around the club doesn’t become to toxic for the players he wants long term.

Personally he needs more time, and a couple more transfer windows to allow players who want out to get out and then I think we see what he is truly about. Whilst this summer was a start, there is still a nucleus of players who have made it pretty clear they don’t want to be here and unfortunately they are still here at least until January so Marti has to try and balance the expectations of the club, supporters and try to create a positive environment for the younger academy prospects to flourish. He really does need more time.

Send the man out to war with a pea shooter and then blame him for a poor job !

Just ask Cooper or RVN they’ve been there !

Same old story with our fans - Let’s blame the manager

Wake up to where the blame is !! It’s blindingly obvious !!

Whilst the ownership and running of the club is the bigger issue, it doesn't explain why Cifuentes hasn't played the style of football he talked about when he joined and why we've seen so little of players like Nelson

It can be true that we have been mismanaged by Top and Rudkin (everybody is awake to that) whilst also being true that the manager is failing to get the most out of this squad.  He is making us weaker than the sum of our parts imo.

Wow I can not for the life of me understand any fan that has the face to criticise Top or his family, they’re either Johnny come latelys or have exceedingly short memories. Rudkin on the other hand is fair game and hopefully recent changes mean that he won’t be around for much longer.

As for people wanting to change the manager again, what’s the point?, I can only assume they’re wanting us to bounce straight back and start the recent cycle again. We need to regroup and rebuild and prepare for next season, when hopefully we’ll be in a position to learn from past mistakes, get promoted and stay there. Any decision on the manager should wait until then.

Wtf you on about - just for starters, Top is the one who is keeping Rudkin here.

And let’s not even get started on the financial position we are in.

It ALL lies at his feet.

but let’s not criticise them eh.

nothing will change whilst he’s at the helm, so yes, he needs to sell up and clear off.

Happy clappers genuinely sound like they're part of the bolsheviks doing their duty to protect their dear Soviet Union Dictator from criticism and opposition.

Its just pure propaganda, the sad thing is we have a huge lump of these types in the fanbase and thats why the club gets away with so much.

When you have an apathetic group that continously financially support a broken institution, the leader of that said institution has no reason to do any better.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, chops and changes a few players but carries on with obviously the same system that is working SO well

Not defending him at all but he also doesn't have the players to do much else. 4 4 2 doesn't work given how weak our midfield already is. 3 - 4 - 3 could work but just don't think we have a decent 3 at the back that he trusts.
