I mentioned previously that, although we know what a shambles the club is in, there will be an even greater awareness of this within football itself.

I can imagine potential replacements, if not having doubts about coming here already, would certainly be getting advice to steer well clear from anyone they care to ask.

I don't think they've even interviewed/spoken to any managers yet.

Not true!

A club in absolute relegation freefall, a thoroughly incompetent owner and board, no money to spend, a squad full of deadwood players and a fanbase thats becoming increasingly angry with everything. Why the **** would anybody want to take that on? Its probably the most poisonous, toxic managerial job available in the football league currently.

Tottenham Hotspur have entered the chat...  There are different kinds of Toxic, like the think we are a big club cos look at our stadium but not at our record or squad...

people are turning us down.

But this is not a new thing is it?

This has happened with previous attempted managerial appointments I expect.

Mean we kind of know about Potter doing it several times, but I imagine there’s been others as well.

We have delusions of grandeur currently I’d imagine.

We are most likely trying to contact people we already know.

Rudkin and Dyche know each other.

The rebuilding part is why I'm more tolerable to the idea of him than before. Need to clean out this squad and build a sustainable Premier League ready team like he did at Villa. The current success Villa are enjoying is mainly down to Emery being a genius however the squad was assembled by Dean Smith. We need to bring in a DoF who can work with Smith in assembling something similar.

Oh so close :(

But yes, agreed. Seems like a Pearson figure which is what we need if we stand a chance of coming back from this damage caused.

Top is a playboy & a gambler.

He does not want to pay a salary for a new manager so he is gambling on Andy King keeping us up.

He does not want to pay a salary for a Chief executive so is gambling that we don't really need one.

He does not want to sideline his mate Jon so is gambling that he can stay on as Director of football.

Unfortunately these idiotic decisions will backfire & he is gambling with the very existence of our club.

He's an illiterate buffoon & not fit to run a sweet shop

Top is lazy.

Finding talented individuals takes time and effort, he doesn’t put either in.

Dyche would be good, but he can’t see any chance of him coming here. Unless

A) he is actually mates with rudkin

b) he want to build something like he did at Burnley.

Like people have said I don’t think there is any chance in it.

Not a whisper.

King will STILL be in charge come the Stoke game won’t he.

Honestly Spudkin and Bottom need declaring as suspects for one of the costliest Criminal Damages in history.

Surprised that MON hasn't been mentioned yet. Celtic mate has said they're going to appoint Martinez so he'll be free again soon.

He's not even on the odds list at all.

When Martin was here, Rudkin was a cone picker who Robbo probably told repeatedly to put the kettle on. Martin should never report into him

I can see a scenario where them staying with King until the end of the season has been discussed.

Keeps the pressure off King Power a little; as fans won’t turn on King like they did Cifuentes, Van Nistelrooy and Cooper.

It also saves them money.

Would imagine the above would only happen after the World Cup as Martinez is still Portugal manager. Mourinho widely considered to be taking over from him after the World Cup.

100% King will be in for the rest of the season. They will bank on Kingy’s reputation keeping the fans on side. Essentially they’re throwing him under the bus.

You just know Bottom has already said to Spudders ‘well they chant about Andy getting the ball and scoring a goal so let’s keep him’

To be fair, he’d be my first choice. He’s obviously not the best manager but I think he has been harshly judged based on his short spell with us and what he inherited. Although it’s a worse situation now I guess.

He’s fairly rounded. I wouldn’t say he is any to football by any means. He can be quite attacking but we also saw in that Newcastle game, he can shut up shop and defend. And like you said, has built struggling sides before like Villa.

Also, don’t forget his Brentford days.

Nobody wants to work for Rudkin . Simple as that . Remove this leech or we will never recover.

I think this must be one of the inescapable conclusions. The football world swirls with chatter and rumour and it would be clear any potential manager considering Leicester would have to take the job within the club self imposed constraints:
1. Must work for Jon Rudkin

2. Must play possession football like Man City

3. Must work with current squad

All of the above are imo impossible for any manager, let alone working for King Power should be the biggest red flag of all.

Also stupid. You need some intelligence and talent spotting skills to appoint the right people, he has neither. The only positive is that Mike Stowell mentioned on the WYS pod, that Tom Cleverley and Nigel Pearson were at Seagrave a few days ago. Hopefully the great man could be coming back.
