We've been in trouble with FFP now for 3-4 years so that leads me to believe we need someone who knows how to balance the books. I thought that was Susans field of expertise but that was apparently not the case. If she can get our spending back in order then its a good deal.

Great, a CEO that has zero experience of being a CEO of a football club or a global multinational organisation that can be compared to LCFC..

all she needs to know is how to find a dodgy sponsor and we are quids in!

Assuming she thinks we're just a club shop, she's in for a wild month or so lol

She’ll come in and wonder why a small shop needs such a big premises. They’ll be space rented out down the KP to Screwfix, wicks and a local mechanic by the end of the month.

Mate what on earth do you think this girl knows about Finance, she has worked solely in sales and business development and if rumors are correct that was all cover for why and what she is, this this a huge embarrassment for us and him, further proof that he is not serious about us as a club

Surely he can’t be that ham fisted and obvious ?

Just a filler so Top doesn't actually have to come to the club at all, and designed so she won't question or be nasty to poor old Rudkin.

Why would somebody 'sought after' come on a (hopefully) short term, temporary contract, half way across the world.

Like half the people on here, my CV is significantly more relevant than hers, and I retired 10 years ago!

Unbelievably weak move.

A former services manager of Palmolive?

With her insider knowledge on bulk buy and distribution we can expect superior hand soap in the loo’s, happy days, great appointment, looking forward to seeing / smelling the results of this.
Faes and Hamza have already been pestering her for shampoo freebies, I couldn’t think of a better person to steer this malfunctioning, overspending, dis-organised, uncommunicative Football Club around :appl:

She got the job about a month ago, why has it taken so long to announce?

Probably work visa. You'd imagine she's just Top's official pawn on the inside stationed at Seagrave to "support" Top.

I imagine they wanted to hide this, but didn't want people randomly finding out some random Thai is running the show. Instead Anthony has buried it in amongst the pointless interview, and restructuring.

Is there anything to suggest this person has even worked for King Power??? And in what capacity?? That's been conveniently left out of the press release. "Recently" - what the **** does that mean Anthony? So many questions need answering on this alone.

this is beyond parody now....a CV that wouldnt even be entertained for any position of this seniority in the "real world"

I originally proposed Alan Partridge for the post....seems i was aiming a bit too high and being a little ambitious!

I'll resist temptation and delay making any comment until we know the identity of the Technical Director

I'm all for diverse hiring policies but it strikes me that such an important position should probably be to someone who has worked in the particular country of the position for all sorts of cultural and languages based reasons.

I would apply this to other countrys teams, too. I would just expect an Italian team to have an Italian technical director for very obvious reasons (to me at least).

Not sure she even knows mate, still working for one of the biggest companies in Thailand according to her own LinkedIn.

Smells of 'we are state owned' and here's the latest Thai Royal family pawn.

Remember "My hands are tied" gate....

Nothing to do with football then

Money people don't need to know football .. We need someone who understands money.

An MD needs to know how to be a Managing Director in a similar sized UK company. A middle manager learning the role in an organisation that lacks experience at Board level is the antithesis of what’s required.

Which role in her CV suggests she has any experience that would bring spending under control in a professional football club??

This appointment gets funnier and funnier.

I know people are saying that ‘it’s a start’ (“it” being top acknowledging he owns a football club and making a few appointments) - but he is completely and utterly incapable of turning this shit show around.

Given his decision making in the last 5 years, it’s safe to assume that the changes he has instigated will make things worse. Strap yourselves in for what this ‘managing director’ brings to the table.

As embarrassing as this looks, the Susan Whelan departure doesn't look to have been planned, and the club didn't have any succession planning in place, so maybe there is a proper recruitment process going on. In the meantime, Top put someone he trusted in to oversee things, and report back, but without making any big changes, and didn't feel the need to make an announcement.

Now, as part of the admission that communication has been poor, he has reaslised this interim appointment should have been announced, so has corrected that error.

May be blue tinted glasses thinking this and expecting an appointment of an actual CEO shortly, but it is possible we are all a bit too quick to criticise without understanding the bigger picture.
