There are so many issues. Our inability to do anything with the ball, our useless defence, our inept manager and clueless decisions and lineup selections, playing our best players out of position to accommodate useless ones, giving others far too many chances producing the same awful displays. Yes we've had injury issues but it's no excuse. The list goes on and so far I've not even mentioned the bigger issues off the pitch...

Football has changed and isn't about possession for possessions sake anymore. Top asking Maresca for us to play like Man City last time we were in the Championship says it all. We're being left behind

I swear there was one point today where Ayew dropped deep to receive the ball and no one ran beyond him meaning that our whole team was squeezed into a 20 yard channel across the pitch 10 yards either side of the half way line.

Also we get destroyed on the transition time and again. We lose the ball and the opposition get the ball into their forwards attacking our back line so quick often playing through our midfield in one pass.

The problem is we are too easy to play against. All then got to do is press us high and you’ll be 2-0 up after 4 minutes.

The pace of play in the Championship has picked up since we were last in it, but we’re currently the fifth slowest team in the league in terms of direct speed. Two of the four teams slower than us have been Norwich and Swansea, both have sacked their managers.

Our build up play is evidently too slow and our end product ends up being toothless. When we end up losing possession, we look far too vulnerable on transition, because we lack athleticism in midfield which then exposes our mistake ridden defence.

When you don’t follow the right trends, then this is what you get.

It’s about time Leicester moved away from the slow tippy-tappy bullshit, but you can guarantee if Cifuentes gets sacked, it’s either Martin or Carrick coming through the door.

Soumare in the 2nd half played more forward passes, then he has in the entire 4 yrs he's been here. It shows he and others can do it, they need encouragement. Even if a few of them dont work out,  keep trying to get the ball behind the defence quickly. It isolates defenders, giving us our best chance of scoring. The reason we looked more threatening in the 2nd half was a change of mentality, the same mentality we have to start all games with.

It was really weird.  We took Daka off and put Ayew up front.

THEN we started pinging it long for the centre forward to run onto.  Or try, at least.

Can’t even say it’s because teams are dropping of us which makes it more difficult to be direct/space in behind. Teams know how poor we are in possession playing out from defence, press us aggressively and win the ball in dangerous areas

We’ve been getting hit on the break for 5-6 years now and haven’t learnt our lessons. Until we have a new backline nothing will change, unfortunately I have zero trust or hope that we’ll recruit the right players either at this point too when we do finally get rid

The tactics are odd. Reminds me of the time we used to take Slimani/Ulloa off for Albrighton who then used to cross to vardy and okazaki

Punting balls up to Ayew is pointless. Ayew is largely pointless.

He hasn't got the pace and guile of Vardy to trick defenders and get behind.

If Ayew can do anything it's only one thing and that is... erm, sorry, I've forgotten.

Oh, maybe… nope...

Ah yes, fall over, that's what I was trying to think of.

They try and play tippy tappy football in all the wrong areas. If your CBs are having the most touches in a game then you know youve got problems. Midfielders and strikers are the ones that create goals

And then there’s the sloppy passes on the break which under no pressure are played behind the team mate instead of in front of him, killing any momentum. If I do that in a friendly Friday night 5 a-side I’d get called out for it, these are pro’s and they’re repeating it week after week.

A big part of it is confidence which is totally shot (spell check) at the moment but it’s a care free sloppiness and a lazy “I’ve done my bit, I’ve moved it on” attitude, think of Drinkwaters through balls in those situations, right into the stride of the player or in front of them to run on to.  We just roll it, with no pace on it behind the runner who has to stop, turn, track back to it and then somehow accelerate again in 1 stride as the opponent is now on him.

The football is ****ing honking. When everyone else is moving on from awful posession obsessive garbage, we’re still chasing it like a pound shop Manchester City from five years ago.

Too much of our play is reliant on slowly getting the ball out wide and expecting them to do something world class because we have zero presence up front and not much more coming up from midfield. It’s dysfunctional and easy to defend against.

Only 22% of our shots have come from strikers. Our shots this season have an average xG of 0.09.

We're in the bottom 5 of the championship for both metrics.

There were huge periods where we did the same under Enzo, I repeated this exact point as nauseum, the difference was we had the quality to offset the snails pace.

Now we lack a lot of that edge couple with Marti-Ball actively nullifying any talent we have with a complete lack of movement from players off the ball.
