Joking aside, rather than my ticket go to waste...

If anyone wants a free ticket (Christmas and all that) i can transfer it to someone who is lonely on boxing day or needs to escape the in-laws..

My sister is back from Oz and wants to go so we're going with the old man.

My first game this season and I'm not looking forward to the football itself.

That said, it'll be the first time the 3 of us have been in probably 10 years or so (sister has been in aus for 7 years) and I do love football on boxing day.

I just hope we put up a fight and create some good chances but I'm not holding my breath for obvious reasons.

I won’t be going this year but I love having football on Boxing Day but (and this might just be one of those times you convince yourself as a football fan but the stats say different) we lose more often than not. I mean even in the title winning season where we won nearly every week, didn’t we lose 1-0 to Liverpool ?

Football on Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Monday are 3 traditions we shouldn’t lose.

There is something nice/special about the day though.

Always loved Boxing Day football down the City. My first and second matches where both on 26th Dec and both against Fulham when I was a little kid in the 60's. Only time that my Dad could take me as he was a referree in the Leicestershire Senior League so he was booked on saturday afternoons. Christmas 1968 was ruined by the match vs Tottenham being called off due to a frozen pitch. We were half way down Brazil Street before seeing fans walking back up towards us away from the ground. Never got over it and never got a programme unfortunately as they're apparently very collectable now.

Funnily enough my first game with my dad (he was always working when I was little, when I was older we went to every game together for years) was the Christmas game (December 27 1993) against Watford. 4-4 draw. Everyone looked like they were still drunk.

No idea why we didn’t play on Boxing Day that year, just had to google when the game was to check!

Can't be any worse than Rotherham on boxing day 2004......possibly the worst game of football i've seen until this season.

Was struggling for ideas for presents for my dad then settled on tickets to the Boxing Day game. After the QPR first half I pivoted and came up with an even better idea that would save me money AND would still serve as a present for my dad that he'd love and appreciate. My present to him this year is not getting him tickets. Personally I think he'll love it.

He ****ing LOVED it.

Won't get banned if the ticket forwarding platform is used.
