Looking forward to a good natured debate on a subject we have never even touched upon!

But if I had to choose one manager from our history for a one off game that we had to win, it'd be prime O'Neill all day long.

Irrelevant under the current ownership as everyone is destined to fail but there was nothing like Pearson for me. He wouldn't tolerate the standards in place at the club currently

Neither is coming back to save us.
Move on.
As much as I’d love either back going back will just tarnish their legacy.
You need to move on from that time and find another Pearson/O ‘Neil type figure.

Pearson.

I think the game has moved on so much from the MON era.

O Neil for me.... has both were great foundation builders.  But Martin won a couple of Trophies were Nigel set it up for others .

Nigel won League One and Championship titles.  You get trophies for that.

Obviously not in Scotland.

5 league wins out of 5.

Always thought Pearson was an arrogant, abrasive, belligerent dick, not at all the

kind of person I would want to share a pint with. Couldn’t stand him but…..

Exactly what’s needed to get sort this clusterfeck of a club out.

Pearson did a reasonable job at Bristol City and began clearing out the decks. He managed upwards incredibly well and he’s the only contact in Top’s phone book with the remotest clue and willingness to help

Scotland being the key word. Me and you could manage Celtic to 5 wins from 5.

Prefer Nige and he’s more my era, but even before his health issues his career took a bit of a wobble - think he struggles without Shakey () and Walsh.

MON done a job more recently I guess even if it was Scotland.

Nigel Pearson is the greatest manager we’ve ever had. That team of Pearson, Shakespeare and Walsh set us up for things none of us ever imagined.

O’neil was a great manager and him and Robertson were awesome.

But for actual building a club, setting up processes, foundations, Nige will always be the greatest. Barca had Cruyff. United Busby and Ferguson. Liverpool Shankly. Nige was ours. I’ll be surprised if we ever get anyone that influential ever again.
