teblin Posted 18 January Posted 18 January We haven’t unearthed a hidden gem for a while. I guess that’s why we are so sceptical .
Popular Post Clarkey123 Posted 18 January Popular Post Posted 18 January Tbh even if we do get this guy I still think we need another striker. Yesterday was evident that players like Daka and Soumare are done here. Daka taking a little bump and going down for 5 minutes when we’re 2-1 down. Soumare receiving the ball in the middle and lumping a completely aimless ball to their keeper embodies the both of them. Not bothered about the club or fans and just here to pick up their overpaid wages. Never want to see either of them in the shirt again. 5

He got an elbow twatted into the back of his head, I think the being down for a few mins is completely valid? Don't disagree with Soumare, and Daka is done here and does a lot wrong. Him for being elbowed in the head and needing a minute isn't one of them 2

We’re clearly walking around a car boot sale with a fiver in our pocket looking for Faberge egg. Anyone we bring in is going to have flaws, it’s how they adapt that’ll be key. This is exactly the kind of signing that when someone else makes it and it comes off we have people saying "Why aren't we making signings like that?" then the moment we're linked to one of those types of deal the same people are shitting on the idea. 8 1 1
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 18 January Posted 18 January About the level of signing that you come to expect under this owner, but it's impossible for him to be worse than what we've been served up so far this season. 1
kingfox Posted 18 January Posted 18 January It’s the fact that we’ll probably need two strikers next season, if we have the ability to sign someone now in the £2-4 million price bracket, then it’s a wise gamble to make. Numerous clubs in the Championship in the past few seasons, have had success with strikers in the £4 million range or below. Or you wait until the summer, and look at the free agent and loan market. After looking at the potential free agent list for the summer, it isn’t the most exciting list to be working from. If we have the ability to sign a striker for £2-4 million now, then we should bloody do it. Then hopefully we have the ability to do the same again in the summer. QPR managed to sign both Kone and Burrell in that range, it can be done. 2

Devonfox1884 Posted 18 January Posted 18 January I’d love Tolaj from Argyle - watched him a decent amount this season and he’s just getting better and better. Proper shithouse too. Absolutely no idea how this lad would do, seems a risky one but in our position most signings will be. 1

Clever Fox Posted 18 January Posted 18 January Looking at his video it looks a very laid back league. It's a massive step up for this lad and I just don't know if he can handle it. Has he got the physical presence to compete with some roughhouse defenders. Or is he quick enough to get past them. On the plus side he does know how to finish, which is something we need badly in the team. So probably worth a punt for what's small money. Though a loan to end of season would suit best even if he cost a little more then. 1
BKLFox Posted 18 January Posted 18 January Quote from his current manager prior to us being linked “We saw all the attributes he has. He is strong, he is smart, he moves the right way as a number nine should do, he is fast enough and goes deep and can link play. He’s pretty complete as we want a number nine to be...” A lot of his 18 goals came through good movement, allowing the Ivorian to finish crosses or latch onto through balls in behind...I wonder if he would have scored 1 or 2 of the 3-4 chances we had in the 1st half yesterday? Truth is any players a risk, we need someone who understands the position could end up being a younger Callum Wilson or are we to wait for another Haaland because there will be 1 but we need someone now. 4

Looks very progressive but already played for two clubs this season so will be one for next season for any interested party.

Stadt Posted 18 January Posted 18 January If we can get a loan with an option then it’s smart business. We need a striker option going into next season as otherwise we’ll renew Ayew 2
Grebfromgrebland Posted 18 January Posted 18 January Let's just be glad that he's an actual striker who's currently scoring goals and is not too expensive.
lcfc_forever Posted 18 January Author Posted 18 January Sean from Enderby said it’s fake news so this story is definitely true!

We would be creaming ourselves if we were signing signing August Priske. Diabate has the same number of goals and is likely cheaper (and therefore available for us to buy) because of his age. beepee1984 Posted 18 January Posted 18 January The last time we signed a Diabete for 2m in January - we didn't win a single league game he started and he spent 2 years of his 3 year contract out on loan Although he did score twice against Peterborough
