Okay, common phrase.

Which player has disappointed you the most this season?

I’m not talking about pilling in on Luke Thomas or Jordan Ayew here. I’m on about who do you expect to achieve much more than they have done.

For me, it’s a toss up between Ricardo and Mavididi. Purely from the levels they showed under Maresca to now, you think they were different players.

Good use of whom; I've ensured to give you a like, which I don't do often.

Harry Winks. I thought he was a model pro when we signed him. How wrong can you be. To take the salary he is on and behave like he has is disgraceful and not just one manager he has fallen out with.

3 out of 4. He must have a personality disorder.

Gotta be 2 for me. Fatawu and Mavadidi.

Had high expectations and was really looking forward to watching them both excel in this league but, for whatever reasons, they have not lived up to what I had hoped.

The Fuching Lot of them apart from the youn lads who’ve shown more heart in 5 min than most if not all of those overpaid Prima donnas !

Trouble is though with this team, we do not have a decent leader on the pitch who shouts and screams at his fellow players, captain that actually gives a Schitt because most of them are just living in pay packets of pay packet and just existing showing up the pitch !

Mavididi has been very poor but I have a degree of sympathy for any wingers in a team that offers them basically no support from anywhere and has Jordan Ayew the anti-footballer nominally playing as the striker. Some of the criticism of Fatawu I think has been pretty remarkable given he's one of our two players who actually ever does anything and he's usually had to run from deep in our half and skin about five players in the process.

Not that it can be much easier being a striker under Cifuentes but Carranza I think deserves a mention for failing to clear the extremely low bar of being more useful than Ayew or Daka.

Fatawu. 3 worldies but jack all else. I get that he's double marked but he should be the hottest talent in the league and he can be totally anon/awol for 4 or 5 games at a time.

Honourable mention for Stolarcyk. Some brilliant stops but his kicking, fear of crosses and fault for about 4 goals now are letting him down massively. Desperately needs a proper GK coach and dropping for Vietes or Begovic.

Winks - He was arguably one of the best players in the Championship 2 years ago, not just has his professionalism shocking, his performances before his banishment were really poor

Mavididi - He has shown nothing going forward and disappointed this season. We have won just 6 of 20 games he has started, we have only lost 2 of 7 games when he hasn't

Mavididi. At the start of the season with our CF options being what they are I declared my bet for top scorer this season would be Mavididi with 12-14 goals from out wide, remembering him looking a regular goal threat last time in this league.

I hadn’t allowed for James’ huge contribution but I’d still be way off the mark with Mavididi. When he fancies it he can have opponents on toast but too often this and last season he’s just lukewarm making up the numbers.

Starting to think he’d be a better no.10 than Reid, with Monga on the left or the two alternating during games.

Stolarcyk really.  I had high hopes for him and still do but I think he has been dragged down by this ragged bunch.

I know he is much better than this and I believe he will reach his potential but I think he has regressed furthest and it keeps getting harder to defend him.

Fatawu

This for me as well.  It's like he forgot all the great qualities he had last time under Enzo.  Driving forward with the ball into space.  He doesn't even attempt to move forwards to get the ball but drops back which kills any momentum of the break.

We know what we are getting with the likes of JV, Soumare, Thomas and Ayew.   That is on the coaches for not addressing anything and allowing them the freedom to infest what we see on the pitch.

Ricardo is a great pro but he isn't a leader on the pitch.  So much dross has happened with him as captain.  You couldn't imagine someone like Jordan Henderson putting up with JV or Ayew doing everything other than what they should be doing.

I'd instinctively say Jordan Ayew but my expectations of him are always rock bottom, to see him jog is an achievement in itself. So I would have to say Mavididi, looks a shadow of the winger we saw under Maresca.
