Considering our defence and attack are both terrible, I'd probably take either Gabriel or Donnarumma at CB/GK. If concentrating on attack, then Thiago.

Interesting responses. For me, it seems to boil down to:-

a). Does a striker make any difference when we aren’t creating and concede for fun?

b). Does an aerially dominant defender give us some leadership and dominance in both boxes and reduce the conceded goals to at least build some points? 
c). A midfielder to try and cover all bases and hopefully drag a combined marginal improvement from our defence and attack. 
 

Interesting spread of opinions. (Which probably wouldn’t have happened if Haaland was an option) 😊

 

Personally, as it feels like a backs-to-the-wall kind of stage to the season, I’d go with a massive central defensive presence. Maguire or Gabriel. 🤷
