Yeah, more empathy on my part needed, the club had the opportunity to send a good message, although it may be greeted with derision due to their mismanagement.

The lads tried today unlike the last few weeks.

The first was unfortunate especially when Nelson could have fired it into the right Corner for Fats to chase down.

Instead he passes it sideways and it ends in a goal.

If we are going to escape we've got to cut out the mistakes first, And be braver in possession.

 

Daka led the line ok and a cracking goal from Fats. Thomas and Ricardo struggling.

We look way off the pace Fitness wise.

The new lads looked like an improvement. I liked Arbo in midfield, And Laselles done ok at the back.

But we really need to start making our own luck and picking up points, A win will give them great confidence.

You really want him playing as a wingback (and that would have be on the left flank).

 

Do we have enough fit and mobile centre halves to play 3 at the back? 
 

And - if you’re not great at defending in a 4, going to 3, which is a much more complex system defensively, is probably not a good idea.

Have been to two away games in the last 12 months and came away genuinely depressed from both for all the reasons mentioned above and more. It's almost surrealy bad at times. The same issues let us down again, playing sideways and backwards.  We have a free kick on the halfway line, the team push up and single brain cell Thomas of course square it. Ricardo was always going to flap and turn backwards. 

The way Aluko bombed forward last week, he would do a better job in midfield. It was like watching Soumare with the coward back passes and slow to pass going forwards.

The player made the most of it then suddenly could walk again once Reid was off the pitch.  It was such brain dead challenge to make, no need in that part of the pitch

Lacelles was the biggest positive, Daka was better than Ayew shame 2 individual errors cost us the game Ricardo and BDCR which was harsh tbf

Actually played alright today - pathetic from bdr - don’t want to see him ever again - lacelles and aribo were decent - daka can at least run - get Luke Thomas out of my face and get a manager in that is semi capable and we will get enough points to stay up - This division is absolutely horrendous- park football for overpaid weasels - would easily have got a point apart from that idiot bdr - get a red in our predicament and I don’t want to see you wear the shirt again

Fair enough. I thought we were as bad as i have seen all season. Very few chances created, giving the ball away at the back. Forum members calling for Begovic because Jakub was 'flappy', yet Begovic making silly mistakes as well and not coping with passing out the back.

 

First half stats considering the sending off was on the 34th minute. Stats are different to the 'eye' test - but i was hoping for an improvement.

I actually agree with this. Right team won and yet again we've shot ourselves in the foot with numerous individual errors, but as a 90 with 10 men for a lot of it I've seen much far more gutless performances than that and the signings looked fairly promising. There are actually a few positives to take out of it which is more than can be said for most weeks.

 

Not that I'm expecting to be the start of a massive turn around but it was nice to see some sign it's possible.
