Bristol City were dreadful but there was appetite and far less mucking around at the back waiting to concede possession. JJ makes such a difference even half fit. Play like this for the rest of the season and we stay up.

A win, that'll breed much-needed confidence

First win under Rowett
Clean sheet (penalty saved)

Fatawu scores again

Nelson with his first goal

James back in the starting lineup (and with an assist)

One league final down, nine to go.

Negatives from tonight: Ayew, Daka and De Cordova-Reid (assist aside) useless once again, at least Mavididi tried and got close, nearly scoring a goal.

And Bristol City were pretty much awful throughout the entire game.

Turn QPR over with a similar performance and I might just start believing we could stay up. So tight at the bottom though.

We played some really neat football at times today … not sure why Rowettball gets a bad rap, the quick first time passes and rapid counter attacks were a joy to watch!!

Yes agree. Abdul should had a hat trick with two finishes, he hits the target he scores and Mav did his usual only goalie to beat ultra casual effort off the post.

Thought the game plan was solid, the players still sometimes have teflon feet, but the effort and application was there.

Skipp absolutely superb, though both centre backs did well and Abdul very threatening. The rest all contributed so credit where credit is due, well deserved win, against who imo are nowhere near the worst team to come to us.

Season saver?

It's possible. I guess we'll never know but that clean sheet feels as big as winning itself. Huge monkey off our backs there.

Garry Rowet said, the plan was for 60  / 30 and it was important so save quality for the end to keep the energy going , in light of the fact that the starting line-up played well , maybe we need to concede he maybe knew what he was doing with that starting 11 ?

Agree with nearly everything you said. However though Daka did well when he came on that shot aside

Tbf you can see some of the players look to have a bit more confidence. I think if maybe Mavadidi scores he will go on a run. That was his best performance in a Leicester shirt for a while, if he plays like that more he will score. I really shows that having a useless tosser like Cifuentes was a massive own goal

I missed this match. I was out at a very entertaining gig. I promise I will never watch another Leicester City match again until we are safe.
