How on earth have any of our fans got the mental fortitude to stick up for those in charge of our football club. I can accept you disregard the past when there's evidence of change or a new era under a new operation but this is the same mob, in our worst position in our entire history of existence and history is repeating itself from recent years of no manager and seemingly no plan.

Bootlickers, brainwashed, apathetic, robotic, contrarianism?  A combination of them all?

It’s the hope I guess. Not sure how anyone can defend anything going on. So much uncertainty. It just feels Groundhog Day.

only slight ray of hope is the mccarron has an idea. But not holding my breath

I dread to think what's going on behind the scenes. Mainly because it's either nothing, or something led by Top and Rudkin. Either way, it's going to keep this club dropping like a tonne of bricks.

It wouldn't surprise me if all efforts at the club are currently going into minimising the embarrassment for tomorrow. The thought of us currently scouring Europe for top, affordable talent is more 5000-1 than the 2016 achievements.

Exactly I’ve no idea why people seem to even think for one second they’re carefully considering their options. Considering where we were once that points deduction hit you’d have been planning at the bare minimum at that point for life in league one. You would fully expect we’d have been pushing for our manager at this point if not already appointed. But there is nothing and not any noise whatsoever, we know what’s happening, like it does every year.

A. They have to go on holiday

B. Russell Martin is hesitant to sign on and they’re having to wait. No other options being considered.
C. Rudkin is stumped by the lack of technical ball playing options presented by his agents that are willing to manage in league one.

Whatever scenario it is, I’ve gone past given them the benefit of doubt.

If they get lucky on appointing a manager like Pearson that manages to organise this mess for them, they need to do it quicker, at least. Giving the manager more time is as important as appointment of the candidate themselves.

The manager of my village Supermarket is looking for a new position.  Knows nothing about football and cannot speak English.  He is probably high up on Dufkin’s list of runners and riders.  Gerrimin.

It wouldn’t also surprise me that we’ve more than likely been turned down by a lot of managers.

It also wouldn't suprise me if we've forgotten that we need one.

Just had a weird message from someone I know in the footy world, who is in regular contact with a well known footy journalist.

Says journo is suggesting we've already signed a manager . When I asked who:

"He doesn’t know. Said it’s someone out of work & been offered a fortune to come?"

The latter bit certainly sounds like us.

I suggested Southgate as a pretty much worst case option and journo has come back with 'wow what a good thought'. It is not, in fact, a good thought at all, so I think that shows he is a  journalist.

I realise the above sounds like pretty bizarre bait but it's true, honest.

No, I don't think so either! Was joking with my mate and he passed it on to the journalist.
