LestaLad Posted Thursday at 15:31 Posted Thursday at 15:31 Realistically the only way he gets any fan on board is by winning every game. Soon as he loses one, the boo’s will start.

I guess the difference is that lampards issue was that they just thought he wouldn’t get results. As seen with Enzo, even if we win games we still won’t like what we’re seeing. For where we are, if he gives youth a chance and wins the majority of games. I’ll be happy. But the get it forward fans aren’t ever going to accept this one Nuno at Notts wasn't popular at the time either. Farke at Leeds has his moments. The fans there want him sacked after every defeat but you can't deny that he's done a good job there overall. Even despite the fact they didn't get promoted in 23/24.

It’s just always impossible to do well when the fans are truly against it. I don’t mean like Claudio is an odd choice… I mean when fans are actually fully against an individual. Even if they start well one slip up and it just gets toxic in an instant as everyone waits for the chance to be proved right. Rafa at Everton. Frank at spurs. Nuno at spurs. Bruce at villa or Newcastle. I just can’t think of a happy ending when a guy is demonized before a ball is kicked and actually turns those opinions around? It’s not even like he’s coming into a club that has low expectations out fans will not be happy to lose to any club in league 1… and essentially he needs to be perfect with his PR and results for at least the first month to get any credit in the bank. Or it will go the same as rangers Leicester city protested about O’Neil after about 3 months

Only saying what i have been told but the source is usually very reliable You're not "only saying what you were told" though, are you? You are saying outright that you've seen pictures of him being unveiled....

Clogger_ Posted Thursday at 15:45 Posted Thursday at 15:45 Grim if true. He's an arse like Rodgers, but with less to back it up
purpleronnie Posted Thursday at 15:51 Posted Thursday at 15:51 If he rocks up in a suit and white trainers I'll be front and centre for the protest.
TeamRocket Posted Thursday at 15:52 Posted Thursday at 15:52 When are we actually getting a manager at this point its just a joke

He’s 40 ! How young do you want ? Seriously I would rather have had Fuchs tbh and take your point - I really don’t like the idea of RM but if he wants to be a manager this job is probably his last chance to make it work - it’s got huge success or car crash written all over it ! 2
kingfox Posted Thursday at 15:53 Posted Thursday at 15:53 We’ll all have egg on our faces when Russell takes us on a 25 match unbeaten run like he did at Southampton. 3

pmcla26 Posted Thursday at 15:58 Posted Thursday at 15:58 With young, impressionable players it could work with Martin. It’s imperative he starts well though if he has any hope of winning over the fans.

Yes some where aimed at O'Neil but it was also a protest at the board. If anyone remembers they invited 6 fans to go into the board room to talk to O'Neil and the board ( imagine them doing that now 😅) One of my mates was picked and he explicitly told O'Neil that he and alot of other fans where more unhappy with the board than the manager.

I watched Rangers go from gazza in the 90s totally dominating the league to the club going bust and being kicked into the Scottish 3rd division in 2012. We have had several absolutely shit managers in the last 15 years and won next to **** all. But I'm telling you right now - Soy Hodgson is by far the most incompetent manager you can appoint. His football and crackpot “philosophy” will have you hiding behind the sofa watching most games. He is a total clown. The Rangers hated him with a passion I have never seen before. It was so toxic under him he's a psychopath and could be a relative of Peter Sutcliffe I joined this forum specifically to warn you lot! 1 2 1 2
