Out of interest what team were you all expecting the old guard to play? While I get the frustration around the club at the moment (and rightly so), I don’t get why everyone kicking off over a charity match. You’re not going to get pirlo, zidane and Rooney playing!

Say “we were in League One once” without actually saying “we were in League One once”.

Just using what i've just paid a football 'celeb' who i'd consider to be affordable as an example.

You're looking at 200k there for the 18

Our 6000 ticket sales so far equates to about 120-150k......

Charities are going to do well out of this lol

Then the cost of stewarding, hospitality staff, caterers and other sundry cost of sales stuff. It will be a net loss of a few hundred thousand - already looking forward to next years' exceptional items in the accounts .

The club maybe shouldn't describe the opposition as an all star 11 then.

Tony Pulis clogger 11 would be more accurate.

In my humble opinion that team would finish higher than our last crop!

Sounds daft but the Wythenshawe FC Over-35s have a better line up that what was announced, and they play for free (I believe)

  • Danny Drinkwater (Wouldn't play against us of course)
  • Papiss Cissé
  • Stephen Ireland
  • Emile Heskey
  • Joleon Lescott
  • Nedum Onuoha
  • Antonio Valencia
  • Oumar Niasse
  • Maynor Figueroa
  • George Boyd
  •  Antonio Valencia

They would have been better off getting a lot of Youtubers / Influencers to play. At least you might have pulled in a few more fans! i dont think the youth of leicestershire are going to be begging their parents to go and see Dan Gosling and Shane Long jogging around the KP at they!

Why are you surprised? This is the navie narrative for the last 5 years

4 of them didn’t even play against us, and 2 others were just small sub appearances

They definitely just asked Simpson and Drinkwater which of their mates at Wythenshawe vets fancies a kick about

Tony Pulis - West Brom manager

Didn’t play against us:

Shane Long - Southampton

Wes Brown - Sunderland

James Collins - West Ham

Luke Steele - Panathinaikos

Sub appearances:

Papiss Cisse - Newcastle United - played 28 minutes in 1 game

Dwight Gayle - Crystal Palace - played 11 minutes in 1 game

Played in 1 game:

Joel Ward - Crystal Palace

Wes Hoolahan - Norwich City

Erik Pieters - Stoke City

Dan Gosling - Bournemouth

Played in both games:

Steven Davis - Southampton

Gareth McAuley - West Brom

Charlie Daniels - Bournemouth

Cameron Jerome - Norwich City

Troy Deeney - Watford

Glenn Whelan - Stoke City

Wayne Routledge - Swansea City

I've probably missed it but has Simpson even been asked? I dont recall seeing his name anywhere.

It is my final wish to see one last Tony Pulis compact 4-4-2. Begging this ends 0-0.

The club are in a catch 22!

Don’t celebrate the amazing achievement (“can’t believe they haven’t celebrated it). Do celebrate it (“we just got relegated””)

And before you think I’m mr Rudkin - I hate what’s happening and we could be in big trouble if we don’t go up first time. I just think wasting our energy and anger on this game is a bit silly

I think it really just shows how poorly planned and timed this event is.

It should have been held in one of the early season international breaks.

The bigger clubs in the country have "legends" matches that are held in a similar fashion and there's no reason why Leicester couldn't have played a team of former Chelsea players for instance. It feels like Liverpool play an AC Milan 11 every year.

Sometimes nothing is better than something.

they’re about to humiliate the members of the 2015/16 squad because no one has the guts to say this isn’t going to work.

When the reality of the "make everything look ok to Awaiyatt" policy hits home.

Anstey Nomads genuinely did a better job of this type of thing last season lol

Just get the 15/16 lot playing against some other ex-Leicester lot.

People would be far more entertained by seeing Ayew and Daka getting man marked by Wasyl and Benalouane than this.

I'm half expecting to see Wes Brown and Gareth Mcauley on our retained list after Saturday.

The latter to be signed because, according to Aiyawatt and co, 'he knows the club inside out having previously donned a Leicester shirt'.

I can't believe the club have advertised this as all-star.

It's like they've looked at how the last 5 years has gone, been asked how can they outdo themselves and answered confidently whilst holding a free Chang beer.

For comparison, Steve Walsh’s testimonial was against a Brian Little all star team featuring Gazza, David Seamen, John Barnes and Chris Evans.

30 years later and we can’t even get Stephen Mulhern for our title win anniversary.

Seriously the 4300 that have paid good money for this rubbish will be asking for their money back with this opposition

I was thinking of getting a refund and then charging the club compensation for even considering going in first place

The anger comes at them even attempting to celebrate in this way after the most disgraceful season in our history.

At this point we are just mocking everything about it, including the morons who want to attend. This pathetic line up just tops it off.

They've been that ashamed of the line up that they've announced no one from it for weeks.
