For anyone who watches on sky....

I watched the game with audio description on, gives a single commentator who is describes all the action obviously for blind people etc.

So much better to not listen to dogshit from Matterface and Dixon.

Would still prefer a no commentator option at all rather than listen to Matterface bollocks

ITV on field brunette is interesting. Couldn't figure her accent out at all, sounded abit Norn' Irish, then abit Aussie - turned out she's from California.

Actually didn't mind Dixon too much tonight....words I've never typed before.

But Matterface. OMG...."A step closer to achieving the first semi-final of a World Cup since 2018".

You mean the tournament before the last one.

Jeez a whole 8 years of hurt.

Matterface is very modern - in that he gets people talking. Even if everything is negative about him (which it is) it's clicks. I hate it, and him.

Matterface deary me

As with Fletcher, he tends to lose the fact the match is still continuing as he rambles on with his pre-scripted or dreamt up nonsense. On a couple of occasions Dixon had to relay what was happening on the pitch.

Clicks where though? How do "clicks" benefit him or itv? He isn't a news outlet, he doesn't really on clicks or gossip for income. If the general consensus is that he's shite it isn't good for itv, it's just a load of people saying he's shite.

Matterface and Dixon were awful last night. Especially during the goals, I assumed there was a flag up for Bellinghams second goal due to a lack of initial reaction from them, and for Norways goal it took at least 5 seconds for them to realise it had gone in. Please say the semi is on BBC?

If ITV had BBCs commentator it would be perfect even Neville is less infiltrating than when he is on Sky Wrigjt and Keane are class

I would have synched up Radio 5 comms. But there were too many people and it would have confused them.

I'm just trying to find an explanation of why they use him. I mean they must know most people can't stand his commentary - so I am assuming they think it's better to have him talked about. When I say clicks - I am not being literal.

The explanation is probably just whoever hired him thinks he's good tbh, you wouldn't actively hire a commentator you know is shit to generate interest in your broadcast lol

Yeah as a Leicester supporter I really should understand that sometimes bosses are just clueless. But you'd have to be an ostrich not to know how poorly thought of he is. There must be something else...
