FoxesWalk Posted Sunday at 09:25 Posted Sunday at 09:25 I think the only positive here is we’ve actually appointed a manager before the season has started. But that is literally the only positive, Martin can get in the bin. First manager ever at Leicester that is going to have to win me over rather than being given the benefit of the doubt from the off. 2

Conceding record amounts of chances and goals against you. Aimless attacks all squashed into the middle of the park, but the idiot's system inverts every position. 90% of your play is between the goalie and the centre half, who Veg Lasso will expect to morph into prime Barasi for the “system” to work. And once you get beaten, he will gaslight everybody and blame players' “anxiety” and “self-preservation mode” He will eventually blame the fans if you complain too much, also. He's a con artist. Be afraid. Appreciate the warning. Make no mistake, we all know what we are getting and no one wants it. I would honestly say that this is the worst possible appointment for what we need right now. We have come to expect this from an ownership this is now the worst in the country. 2
Popular Post Ryy Posted Sunday at 09:28 Popular Post Posted Sunday at 09:28 For league one and championship he’s a good appointment 8
copunk Posted Sunday at 09:30 Posted Sunday at 09:30 Not delighted at all, much like everyone else, but willing to give him a chance, it’s got to work for him, career wise 1
FoxFossil Posted Sunday at 09:35 Posted Sunday at 09:35 Three year contract! So when we pay him off in less than a year, we're double broke. Broke at the bank, broke on the pitch. Unbelievable. 1
Sankey93 Posted Sunday at 09:37 Posted Sunday at 09:37 Welcome Martin! we’re currently a league 1 team and in no position to get a more ambitious manager in. RM needs a complete rebuild himself so it’s just as risky for him. ( probably more ) give him the players he needs for this level and we will come straight back up! Even in the championship he will be a safer option than some have suggested. We’ve got to reset he knows this is his last chance in this country if he fails. The rangers job was horrendous no one can deny that! He seems a like decent bloke and if we get the championship Southampton RM we will be fine. plays youth players and like a few have said he recruits well. 3
Popular Post coolhandfox Posted Sunday at 09:39 Popular Post Posted Sunday at 09:39 At least it done. Marti was appointed on the 15th of July, with the league kicking off on the 8th of August, which gave him 24 days prep. If Russell is appointed on Monday give him 60 days before League 1 kicks off on the 14th of August. No excuses. 10
EastAnglianFox Posted Sunday at 09:42 Posted Sunday at 09:42 We're gonna need to start on a new coffin soon with the amount of final nails we've gone through 1 1
fazzyfox Posted Sunday at 09:43 Posted Sunday at 09:43 Before I bleat on about the appointment being made by the same people who ****ed up the last few appointments, do we know if the new guys at the club would have been involved this time (chief exec & Sporting Director)? Have they started yet? Do we know if he had the same assistants / coaches around him at Southampton and Rangers?
BigC Posted Sunday at 09:49 Posted Sunday at 09:49 In two minds. Martin is above 'league one' level so I think it's a coup. However, feel it's another delusional choice from KP. Needed more of a reset - playing style and culturally - not going down the same or 'similar' fantasy route as before or thinking we're better than we are. Glad it's done now and hopefully Martin can be the man to take us back. He's got a point to prove himself as well - as do we as a club - so fingers crossed it works out.
DAS Boot Posted Sunday at 09:50 Posted Sunday at 09:50 No two ways about it. This is fvcking dreadful and will end badly.
fox_up_north Posted Sunday at 09:56 Posted Sunday at 09:56 At least the plaster has been ripped off early. He gets pre season and possibly has reports already. If he's circled the club before, I'd hope he's at least familiarised himself with who we have. Heart says I want him to do well and will give him a go, head says car crash.
DesertFox Posted Sunday at 09:58 Posted Sunday at 09:58 After we sack this clown, maybe we can get Sean Dyche in for a few months, and get that inevitable appointment out of the way as well...

Gamble92 Posted Sunday at 10:14 Posted Sunday at 10:14 I just want to get out this division first time and I still think we will. I just can't deal with the coach 1 KPFC lot who'll think that vindicates everything about King Power, Rudkin and Martin if we do. They'll probably even want a parade.
