Gave me the willies the first time I ever heard him talk about his footballing philosophy and almost every interview i've heard from him since has left me a mix of anger and astonishment. It's his delusion and borderline superiority and arrogance that I just cannot turn a blind eye too. Go and listen to his post match comments in the home and away games we absolutely destroyed his Southampton side under Enzo if you're in danger of getting all misty eyed. It was staggering.

The scary thing is, i've felt that from him when i've had absolutely no skin in the game as he's been at other clubs and I should have found it funny if anything like I do when i've heard the likes of Nathan Jones and Liam Rosenior but I just knew he'd end up here. I've never been sure of anything in my life.

I wish him no ill, I really hope i'm wrong about him and it's been a case of mistaken identity but people can fcuk off trying to patronise me that we can't form these opinions on someone. It's a basic human trait that might be wrong, might be right. Does he deserve a chance? Not for me he doesn't but what choice have we got now?

What I cannot get my head around is his footballing philosophy has had quite appalling success and yet his belief remains undeterred. He wasn't successful at Southampton, it was nothing more than par for the course and was then an abomination in the Prem. He did OK at Swansea but MK Dons his team instantly improved when he left and Rangers goes down as one of the worst managerial stints in the modern era.

What body of work there can give grounds to him being considered a dynamic and successful manager or that his foorballing IQ is unequivocally the way to go. He'll never land a job with the environment or resources in order to support such ideology so it's pointless. His best solution is to use the experience he has in the game to get the best out of the opportunities he does still land and see if that fairs better.

He recruits pretty well, gives young players a chance and can build a bit of a unity if players buy in to his authority so harness that with tactics that are not reckless and ill suited.

My phone will go out the window an'all when Gary Lineker lauds this a major coup.

A dark day for this football club, which is actually an achievement in itself given the bar they've set in recent years.

I'll be even further on the periphery now to save my own sanity. All the best for those who can still support it.

Totally agree (offer still there to join my LCFC sabbatical untill sacked  Ric, 😁)

It not just his football philosophy , crap managerial record. and the on pitch bordem we will be subjected too that I dislike,  but it him also.

The post match delusional rambling.

God, he loves the sound of his own voice.

He's an arrogant, blame shifting,  stab his grandmother in the back to prove a point even if wrong, narcissistic fraud.

He will turn on us in a heartbeat when the chips are down.

In affect he a diluted Rodger's.. and like that odious little cretin who I detest the most in football ever (yes more than Peter Taylor)  they both act and exude qualities  and  mannerisms that find repulsive in humans.

We had to suffer the sh1t under Rodgers, I personally don't want to suffer it again under this tw@t.

Heres a conspiracy theory for you, weve been arse licking Enzo for so long to maintain a good relationship and hes promised us to be a feeder club aslong as we carry on his style of play so thats why they went for russel martin and maximum man city loans a year

Except that playing for Leicester City in League One under Russell Martin with the players we have will, in now way whatsoever, prepare anyone for playing for Man City in the Premier League and Champions League under Enzo with the players they have.

Enzo will put 100% into his new job. He will not give a sh1te about us and rightly so. Loans will come our way if they benefit Man City, and only if.

My conspiracy theory is that our arse licking of Man City meant that we had to guarantee Mukasa game time.

Hes not. He was shite. And yet another Southampton reject.

No he wasn’t.
He’ll never be one of our greatest managers but also he’s not one of our worst.
He’s somewhere in the middle.

Rodgers came in and took that team to 8th - when he arrived we were in free fall and about 14/15th.

The team he had - had Maguire, Chilwell and Vardy - all in the England squad, and Maddison, Ndidi, Evans, Schmeichel - he even had Mahrez for a time. For the level of talent the output was dire.

Puel is misunderstood by the majority of our fanbase

Good eye for a player, built a good side but couldn’t get a tune out of ‘em. Too scared of losing.

100%

Puel's first 3-4 months were promising and then we ended that 2017/18 appallingly and it was under performance from there on in bar the odd decent scalp against the elite.

Rodgers for all his faults, teased out the quality in this squad immediately as we were top 6 form from the moment he joined us until the end of 2020/21 season spanning 2 and a bit seasons where arguably his signings were worse the longer he was here.

I did find it odd him coming to the game, I do wonder if we’ve been asking him for advice

A lot of people like to make out that Puel was brilliant for us.

The reality is that we just had a summer where our incoming transfers were very good. Football under him was miserable and those players only reached their potential after he left.

dont get me wrong, he wasnt great but he wasnt brilliant for us either, like a middle of the road manager,

If he wins games then he can talk as much shit as he wants. But I have to smile at those warnings we are being given about conceding soft goals from playing out from the back, as if we haven’t been doing precisely that for the last two seasons anyway.
