So tomorrow is the day we hopefully hear something tangible :fc:

Doubt if we will learn anything for a few weeks

that Tom Collomosse article is damming, my word

https://archive.is/20260912033811/https://www.dailymail.com/sport/football/article-16124023/Leicester-City-Russell-Martin-Jon-Rudkin.html

give it a read, its truly horrific in every single sense

I maintain its mad Rudkin is able to walk around leicester, can you imagine him doing this in say France, he wouldn't be able to leave his home. Again not that Im condoning it, but he has been such a huge part of the downfall, clearly completely incompetent, constantly getting promotions for unprecedented levels of failure and people just shake their head. Hes very very lucky.

If we aren't a shoe in for promotion (which we aren't) then the amount of money the prospective new owners will need to propr the club up for in the 3rd tier rises. There's going to be a massive stand off on price and you hope Top realises that without a sale the financial return for him and his family will be paltry.

Unless it gets to the point where the monies being offered lead him to think ‘what’s the point of selling’ and he may as well play Russian roulette on us achieving promotion. (Whereby he will get a higher price) or failing and going into admin (where he’ll get almost nowt).

The problem is whether the owners are happy to haggle and agree a compromise reduced sale. We saw with Chansiri at Sheffield Wednesday what can happen when an owner is too stubborn to negotiate a reduced valuation, the end result was administration.

I wouldn’t be shocked in the slightest if KP dug their heals in and refused to budge from the valuation they are willing to walk away from, there is a reason interested parties are struggling to acquire the full picture in relation to the debt and future liabilities, likelihood is once you have the full picture it makes the valuation incomprehensible.

A lot will depend on how much they want out.

Not sure why people think they are going to give everyone access to the full picture.

There will be an a process to weed out the tyre kick and wasters, only serious bidders will get the full details.

The Turki Alalshik story is getting much more traction, possibly just because it’s a good click bait story but it made me look 👀 into him more.
Seems if we were bought by him we would basically be bought by the Saudi government.
Theres plenty of money 💰 but dubious morals to say the least.

May be they would build a replica 'Chop-Chop square' in the Stadium Car Park?  Would likely improve our results:(

Requires more cash flow does it not? Not convinced they are willing to put anything more in.

This is the problem, KP clearly have the money to invest but the Family have decided not to do that.

You also have to question who is advising them, Because for a modest investment they could insure promotion which would increase our value considerably.

Then again maybe they don't agree with Tops approach given the mess he's made when we did have the funds.

Often, after a review of Expressions of interest, a shortlist, or even a single prefered bidder is selected, with a reserve bidder, both notified. We might get wind of this if some of the con- artists go quiet. To get to a serious prefered bidder might take a month  and then financial negotiations with open-book accounting could take another 2 months. Be surprised if we hear before year end. Anything shorter suggests potential new owners are not a serious outfit.

Delay, and commercial silence, is imo good news not bad, as suggests new owners are serious people.

Completely agree, if everything goes at a normal steady pace then the new owners will be in around April/May next year

I just don’t see any buyer meeting their valuation and having the cash to sustain the club unless it’s a mega wealthy state funded group

KP may borrow more from Macquarie secured against club assets to cover the shortfall.

I think it depends on who is calling the shots in Bangkok.  Is it the family or is it whoever has been appointed to ‘manage’ the business.

are any of existing charges on Lcfc secured against the ground or seagrave ?

I've not checked but we've tended to use Macquarie to bring forward cashflow from transfers and parachute payments. Almost like a factoring arrangement. I don't think we've mortgaged ourselves to the hilt, which is wise if selling the club.

We've wisely hacked back the salary spend as well.

The Macquarie loans and facilities are not secured on assets they are secured to funds owed by other clubs or EPL payments. Of corse we do have to fund the interest. Remember some of the assets like the land that the buildings sit on at Seagrave are not held by the clubb.

What I heard & understood between the lines from the Neil lal guy was that the KP group have not fully disclosed all the books ie all the debt. Once that is fully known and wouldn’t surprise me we are in a sheet loads more trouble that’s all gonna drive the overall asking price way down. KP can’t hide things forever - it will all be revealed to a buyer if they’re serious. At that point KP have to be willing to negotiate otherwise prospective buyer/s will simply walk away.
I will be really surprised if there is a line of buyers out there otherwise this lal guy wouldn’t be jockeying himself in the media the way he is. It’s like he’s conveying to Top no one else is interested but them so negotiate or meet your doom.

I wouldn't give him the time of day either if I was them - the man seems a complete clown.

Turki would be funny as it would piss off the sheep shaggers, but other than that not sure I'm comfortable with him

I'm completely comfortable with him. I hope it's him. I have absolutely no issues with any of the 'moral issues' which seem to surround him. I couldn't give a shiny shite, as long as he pumps zillions into us

I feel the same mate.  Think he would be pretty successful, as he would know how to ‘market’ us and hence increase revenue streams.

plus the £200m and debt is pocket money to him too!

fair enough, I can be convinced either way, I certainly wouldn't stop going were he to buy us
