if that be the case.....he'll go sign Noel Atom, he was in the Brighton U21's until he was released this summer(surprisingly)

I’d imagine he has more attractive options than us but maybe we can tempt him with being a guaranteed starter.

Managers jobs are too short lived to fully take the risk unless they have to.

 

Why risk your job for an unknown young player when you have an experienced bloke who'll do an average job.

 

Clubs will hire and want to promote youth, but a few shit show performances and the coach is out

Evans needed a loan in my opinion. There’s a place for him in the club, hence the contract extension, but right now at 17/18 to go out and play men’s football regularly will do him the world of good, at a level that’s beneath him in my opinion. Right now we’ve got plenty of options, I’d rather Evans go out and play, than just sit on our bench…. Alves, Braybrook and JJ, have all benefitted from it. Evans time will come.

So if we can get Mavididi out,

 

LW - Watson/Alves

AM - Cullen/Chaplin/Reid

RW - Burns/Howell

 

With some flexibility that Alves could be central or right and Cullen could play further ahead.

 

But now we need to stop with the attacking midfielders, we have a range of options now.

 

We still don’t know how Bristric will do so a further striker would be welcome. Full back seems fine but centre back is a concern. Too much ingrained stench of failure. That’s not easily turned round regardless of a drop in level as we saw last season.
