Might be wrong here ,but in the 70's didn't we have the most players over £100,000 or something  like that  anyway?

Yes, Alderson was 110,000 and started the rot!

True, in general we’ve never spent big money well, going all the way back to a highly rated Brian Alderson from Cov in the 70’s who flopped badly imo.

If he was called Brian Aldersoninho he'd be a club legend

Well done. Worley was the one where I thought it would be difficult and as I dropping off to sleep last night after posting I suddenly remembered Paniyioutou as well!

you mean the most prolific striker we've ever had? scored 4.5 goals/90 and had a 100% conversion rate

Actually looked to try and create something, found it funny how composed he seems at 18 compared to our sloggers who can barely control a simple pass

He looked absolutely bolloxed at times.

Very good in 1v1 situations though. He waits for the defender to plant his feet then changes direction quickly.

Clearly got some massive potential but looked like he was wading through quicksand after 10 minutes

Excited to see what he can do with some fuel in the tank

I‘ll always remember that close-up of his after coming on for the second half. Looked as if he‘d just competed in a marathon, completely shot.

Some fool called in to RL on Saturday moaning he was too one footed. Mate we’ve had Mavididi playing on the wing who has been no footed for two years

I like this lad

yeah that was laughable, he said he is not good enough as well.
To me, he looks a serious player. He can cut in, take them on the outside - reminds me a little of Riyad Mahrez. Needs to be starting
