It just shows how stupid the style of play is. If the Fulham kids can score against us, then decent L1 players will. Championship and PL teams will score 4 or 5 against us regularly. It's mental.

Can't take too much from this comp tbh. Most (all?) of the U21 sides are cannon fodder. It's borderline offensive to crowbar them into a professional tournament

No good blaming Martin all the time. As a defender you have to make a decision yourself and clearing danger as for the goal is the obvious thing to do. We turned back into trouble 2 or 3 times. I bet he is as mad at that as we are.

I'm still raging at somehow conceding a goal here. Ridiculous.

 

But some positives from that first half. I know it's only the Fulham kids but Bristic getting 3 and Watson getting 2 after both had looked off it recently is good.

 

And to be fair, the team looks like they're taking the game seriously and constantly trying to score. There's plenty of running and effort, even if it's a daft mickey mouse trophy game.

Im actually more annoyed about the goal we conceded than I am happy about the goals we've scored. We dont learn much from the goals scored here but its clear to see that the defensive issues and giving the ball away in dangerous areas is a deep rooted issue, regardless of opposition, that is likely to be the reason why we wont get promoted this season..
