We were 0-2 down to Leatherhead but managed to win 3-2 in the end.

It was Harlow away where we lost 1-0.  That was probably the most embarrassing game I've ever seen us play.

I think he keeps the same team and formation from Saturday and we win again.

He's stubborn and loves his tactics but he's not stupid (I hope).

Realising that if he gets sacked for the same thing again then he won't walk into another job.

Again, it's never the ones that consistently underperform that get injured is it.

Honestly - it's unbelievable.

What is making us think Riis is injured?

Lad said it a few pages back - be rather weird one to chuck in if not true but obviously not confirmed at all either

That last point you make is why I can’t believe it’s taken him this long to show any sort of pragmatism.

He did plenty of interviews saying he regrets not learning from the Premier League campaign with Southampton. Then he goes and doubles down on it.

It’s why I’m worried if we go on a bit of a run with this approach he will slowly start to regress back to all that shit.

If he genuinely has a "shit, must get results" switch that he defaults to as his plan B rather than A then he's a bigger idiot than I realised. So that would even be an admission that he doesn't even believe in what he really does but just does it anyway... for what reason?

I'd have thought we could all think of a far worse result.

Wycombe

Exeter

Harlow

I was at all three.

I'm going tonight.

FM if you do have to go tonight for gawd sake don't wear the long black hoodie and leave the scythe at home

Yeah, a dude with a grand total of 37 posts.

Like you say, weird one to make up, unless he's on the wind-up.

It's what he does when he's in genuine danger of getting the boot. Once he buys himself a bit of breathing space with a couple of pragmatic results, he'll revert back to his 'brand' even though it's way less effective.

He did it for our play-off final as well, when there was £100m riding on it and he was possibly being shown the door if we lost.

Mad isn't it. And does make you wonder how much he truly believes in 'the system' himself when the chips are down, and how much of it just vanity / ego and wanting to be regarded as a certain type of manager.

Maybe he realised he won't get another job in football after this one so fancied staying a bit longer.

Wasn’t he forced to give up the tippy tappy suicide ball at the back because your main goalie got injured and replaced with McCarthy, who’s dogshit at playing out from the back?
