Just finished this, really enjoyed it. Lots of interesting nuggets on plant biology/neurology to back up a perspective of humans which would really improve the world were it to be more widely held/adopted.

Less impressed with this which was a recommendation. Some of the prose felt a bit strange to me, I can't help but think some things didn't translate as well as others from Norwegian.

What happened in 1177 BC(E)?

Minoan? Egyptian Old Kingdom?

I'm off to Google it.

It's very good. Quite short and eminently readable. It became popular when it was released to read it and opine that it holds lessons for our own chaotic times, and that was back in 2014....

I've just finished Wuthering Heights as I am trying to read more classic literature. I recently saw the Kate Bush video again, and what with the film coming out soon I thought I'd give it a go.

Oh dear. A book populated by absolute cvnts. The film is marketing it as the greatest love story ever told. Did they even read the book? Because it's definitely not that. It's certainly one of the most toxic and destructive relationships of all time that's for sure.

I wasn't a fan of the narrative structure either which is a bit all over the place. An interesting story for sure, but I can see why Emily Bronte only ever wrote one book.

The Will of The Many by James Islington, haven't enjoyed a book this much in a while. Got to the point the other day I was cramming pages in between Teams calls.

If you want a palate cleanser after all that toxicity and torrid emotion, I'd suggest Tess of the D'Urbervilles. Very heartwarming and uplifting!

I only just started reading again after a 10 year plus hiatus. Have enjoyed The Martian and Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir and have now moved onto Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth which i am really enjoying. The storytelling is excellent

I enjoyed all of the three Andy Weir books. Did you read Artemis? Not quite as good as the other two but still entertaining.
