As an oldie I like this premise of teaching  younger folk the  wonders of older films that may otherwise pass them by

We took them to see It's a Wonderful Life at the cinema last Christmas Eve.

A bit different to Die Hard but a classic none the less

Certainly in my top 5. I remember the first time I saw it on tv. Not paying much attention until the scene when young George was slapped by Mr Gower then totally gripped

Went to watch Sonic 3 yesterday

Pretty good and probably the best of the 3 so far

Jim Carrey is just brilliant, especially with him also playing the older Robotnik as well

Rewatching my Sherlock Holmes, Basil Rathbone/Nigel Bruce box set, all 14 movies, takes me back to when I was a kid and they used to be shown on BBC2.

Hound of the Baskervilles tonight.

One fact about these movies not a lot know is the first two were made by 20th Century Fox set in the 1880s whilst the other twelve were by Universal and set during the 1940s and most were shot during the second world war.

I watched all of those on Plex. There were loads of episodes! Loved Nigel Bruce as Watson and Rathbone was good, if a little over confident and stylish for the book version of Holmes.

Watched Blitz last night on Apple.

Rubbish.  I can't believe some of the good reviews online.

Strange cameos from Stephen Graham and Kathy Burke that looked to be shoehorned into the film for a 10 min filler.

Loved those films as a kid, not watched them for such a long time, childhood memories also of Laurel and Hardy, Will Hay and Robinson Crusoe in the school holidays, proper nostalgia.

You can watch at least 13 of them on Youtube.

It does appear a few issues shoehorned in to the story. I agree the film was rubbish. My own parents lived through the London blitz and survived some scary moments so a particular interest in this era.

Big fan of Basil Rathbone even though he was a Spurs fan!. He and Nigel Bruce both served in The Great War and suffered considerably

Watched the Instigators with Matt Damon and Casey Affleck on Apple last night.

Nothing special by any means, but it's your usual action/crime that doesn't take itself too seriously with some funny bits and a few interesting little details in there which differentiate it a little from the usuals of the genre.

I'm with you for Carry-On.

Just watched it with my niece. She liked it and I hated it lol

Actually really enjoyed it, 2 and 3 have both surprised me with how good they actually are.

The voice acting alongside Carrey is brilliantly done
