Started raining here amongst the storm and it's cooler now. Much nicer and less uncomfortable.

I'm hoping we get some rain soon to! Like I said I don't mind it when it cool at night but last night was horrible.

All this stuff about results is devastating. I'd be furious if I worked my ass off all year and get a random grade given to me. Hearing some bad stories about it based on some shite algorithm and kids from disadvantaged areas being fvcked over.

Worth quickly checking your bank account transactions regularly....

 

I spotted a mysterious £57 payment to Iceland last night. I never shop at Iceland but did wonder if it could be some connected firm.

Called bank fraud people & they said that it was a £7 payment plus £50 cashback.....at an Iceland store in London.

Not only do I not shop at Iceland, I've not left Leicester for a fortnight & haven't got cashback for months. Seems like card has been cloned via a skimmer attached to a payment machine?

 

Could've happened at a shop or ATM in Leicester (but only used an ATM once in a month).

But 3-4 weeks ago, just changing train stations, I remember using a London Transport machine for a £20 Oyster Card top-up......might have been that.

I used to work for TfL, tube ticket machines are always having cloning devices attached to them since they closed ticket offices a few years ago. Just use contactless on the ticket barriers and don't use the ticket machines is my tip of the day.

 

EDIT : just to add to that, the cloning devices they add are very discreet so unless you know what you're looking at its doubtful you'll see it.

Best to check everything ! ...  whilst checking for something else on my phone bill I noticed a small charge to a mobile number (I thought it was a mobile number as it started in 07) ...    Calls have been made to it fairly regularly at different times day and night.   As all mobile calls are charged and it was mixed in with others I never noticed it.  Calls have been made even when we were on holiday and the house was locked up.  It hasn't been made via our handsets. When I rang the number it is to an adult line that belongs to a company in London that deny all knowledge of it. If you google it lots of Chinese and Nigerian web sites pop up.I am now waiting for BT to do something about it and get it stopped ....   they are fvckin useless !!!   I know its not a massive amount but its been going on for 6 years !

Brilliant,  my youngest brother became a first time father 1.5 hours ago. My first blood nephew (i have 4 adopted nephews/neices). All of them are absolutely wonderful but its also nice to have some blood mixed in now too. Super excited for him and myself lol
