Another job related post.

My job that I got in June was initially temporary until October,  and I've been told today it will be made permanent. It's pretty life changing for me, so I'm absolutely over the moon :)

Congrats foxes deb!

Found out today that my real dad, who walked out on us when I was three months old, has died. Barely even knew the bloke but I’m a mess and don’t know why.

Totally understandable.

Sometimes that's almost harder, as you would have so many questions that you may never get the answers for.

Sometimes people aren't fit to be parents though and things go a different way than expected.

Hope you've had/have good people in your life.

Had a lovely day.

Made a tifo for the new block with mates and then went for a pint and some food together.

Is this something to do with the construction industry? :dunno:

And then I get bounced to 60,000th in the queue. FML.

I hate Ticketmaster.

Going for a new job and heard back this morning following a telephone interview that I am through to the ‘next round’ which is an actual in person interview

Slightly less pay but comes with a company vehicle (so no more £70 a week on fuel) and I get to be out on the road rather than sat at a desk all day

Got a bit of burn out with my current job so just need something new

This job change going to affect your weekly duties on FT right?   :D

Just wait till a week or two before the gig on get yourself on https://twickets.live fantastic resale site, you'll probably get them much cheaper when people get desperate to sell their tickets :D

I did realise you had posted this ages ago and had an awful feeling that you may have already said you hadn't got it haha.

Good luck mate, hope it goes well! Even if it means we lose our comprehensive loan/presser updates :D

Well she now has a pair for London, Coventry and Manchester. And I’ve even had time to load the car and roof rack with all her stuff for the return to Uni tonight - so I reckon DOTY22 is in the bag.

It's in the bag! Although sending her to Cov might lose you a couple of points :D

Oldest started secondary school last week.

Great first week, settled in well which is a massive relief believe me.

Wake him up this morning and he starts playing the 'I feel sick card'.

Didn't believe him and made him start to get ready, just before we're about to leave he vomits all over the floor and since then has been shitting water almost constantly 🙄.

Why is it always at the worst time? We've just had the summer holidays and he was fine every day.

Shitty deal.

Hope he gets well soon. Return to school = return to germs. Mine are younger but had their first day of school over this side of the pond today. I fully expect them to get sick in the next few weeks.

Good day - got a great 6 month review from my employer.

Bad day - two hours later, got in trouble for violating a safety rule.

Win some.  Lose some.

Quite an odd day actually, had booked a man to come and see if my mum could get a stairlift fitted as her arthritis has stepped it up a notch and stairs have been a struggle recently.

The guy arrived and i made him a coffee, giving him my LCFC Fa cup winners mug to drink out of. He laughs and asks if i liked football, which ofc i said i did and follow LCFC. He then tells me he used to be a professional footballer and his wifes sister is married to Matty Elliott, thinking he probably played for some 4th div club from 20/30 years ago i asked who he played for and he tells me he used to play for Wolves, in fact he still holds the record for their most consecative goals scored 7 in 7.

Was quite surreal but what a lovely guy, especially when he knocked off £150 off the quote for footballing reasons LOL.

The guy was Micky Holmes @The Bear

I had to look up what he looks like but yeah I remember him (just). Good to see he's a nice guy.

The Mrs has just done a few loads in the washing machine, whilst I'm cooking dinner.

She's just looked at me and said "How am I going to dry all of this? Maybe a quick blow outside"

Me : "I'll have one of them"

I basically live in a 1972 Carry On film.
