Just watching a doc about only fans and one of the girls fella is Matt Le Tissier’s son. Matt hasn’t spoken to his son in months due to that. We do live in a mental world.

Would you you want to speak to Matt le Tissier?

Amazon Prime day can fvck right off.

Awful couple of days at work due to sheer volume.

Amazon reckon they're a logistics company, they aren't. In fact, they're completely clueless.

Unfortunately, they have all the drivers bent over a barrel. That's why we're all self employed and they don't directly employ anyone to do it.

If they actually got it right, the company would be worth so much more than it already is, but the people who sit in an office think they know more than the people who do the job.

Ah well, it'll calm down by Monday!

Still doesn't mean they can plan a route, but at least volume will be down and I'll be able to put it in a proper order myself.

You left and then went back. Sure like to take one for the team!

I feel for delivery drivers these days it seems like an absolute madness of a job especially with added traffic and more bell end customers then ever.

They may be clueless, but they’re still miles ahead of everyone else.

Not when it comes to what they call "the final mile".

DHL, UPS and other delivery companies are miles ahead.

Route planning is an utter shambles.

Not sure if this is right place, two years ago I borrowed £200 to a friend. The mate was a mother of two kids her partner did a bunk leaving her with no rent, typically in a mess as I mate I offered to lend the money. With an agreement the money would paid back regularly like £20 a month till it was settled. By last year, I have recieved no money everytime I ask I get the same story I got no money or job at present, I'll pay you back when I can and I haven't forgotten. So I have been so patient seven months as past, since then I have had no contact from her, in fact she's unfriended off Facebook and not responded to my text messages. No I haven't hounded her, I've always gave her time like once every 3-4 months before I ask for update. Now nothing at all, as mean as I sound I don't know if to take legal action or not and if I can ask this was not contract loan. Anyone got any advice?

You may be right on planning, but unlike other delivery companies, they’ve figured out how to get packages to customers faster than others can hope to - and a lot cheaper

I think you’re letting the frustrations and challenges you experience as a driver, cloud your judgement.

They are the leader (at least in the US).  Walmart (#2) and Target (#3) have redone their business model to try and keep up.  Target has invested billions in Sortation centers and their own last mile delivery fleet (Shipt) to try and close the gap.

Actually, it’s even unfair to compare routing with UPS/DHL.  Those companies have 2-4 days to plan a route.  Amazon has a few hours in most cases.

I despise what Amazon stands for and the way they treat employees.  But credit is due for what they’ve accomplished.

And in quite a short timescale. When did they start building their logistics network, mid 2000s? I try and avoid buying from them because they are about to takeover the world but the investor and customer story is compelling, they revolutionised delivery and everyone else has to put down billions to keep up

Went out paddle boarding today in the sea. Got pretty far out and was soon surrounded by hundreds of football sized jellyfish. Initially I was a bit apprehensive but soon enough I was just transfixed. Nature is stunning sometimes.

Painted the pallet decking today and started boxing off the front and sides.

It ain't perfect, but it's pretty damn good and the total cost for wood, undercoat, paint and screws is £56.50 lol

May be different where you are, but our main supplier uses UPS for next morning delivery, and they are very reliable. Of course business deliveries (where most of the customers are regulars) are different to the domestic sector, which must be a nightmare to plan.
