I'm quite looking forward to the World Cup, I'm currently in the kitchen listening to This Time We'll Get It Right by the 1982 England World Cup squad.

Everyone thinks I've lost my mind. And I might well have done lol

People forget the 'B' side to this which IMO was a much better song

I'm trying to teach the kids the John Barnes rap, they're having none of it.

I installed a security camera all on my own so I think I pretty much deserve my own DIY programme on telly now

Do you plan on streaming the changing room footage or is it for personal use?

Stressing got my theory test again tomorrow. I’ve passed the bloody thing twice before but either physical or mental trouble stopped me from doing my test. I failed my practical once and never tried again.

Determined to pass it again this time and actually do something with it and pass my actual test.

If you've passed it twice before then you've got this. It's not going to be any harder for you. You probably know more than the instructors do by now!

Spent the day in London yesterday. Was the missus' birthday and she wanted to see the lion king musical. Booked it a while back, but hotels were so expensive so made it a day trip. For some reason the last train out of Euston wasn't on so we booked the national express.

Day was great, decent train down for a tenner, sat opposite an amusing eccentric old boy with a box of googly eyes that he placed all over the carriage. Got into London, walked around and did a bit of shopping. Walked down Oxford Street, haven't been down there for years and it was  not as I remembered at all, it seemed absolute shit hole. Had a decent buffet in China town, then went off to the show. Show was pretty good, but we had some people sat directly behind us who thought it a great place for a chat, for the entire thing, which was bloody annoying. Also, everyone so desperate for £8 bottles of Budvar and £20 futes of Moet, meant both the start and the second half were delayed somewhat. We were cutting it fine, show due to end at 10, coach home at 10:35, but we planned our route and knew we'd be ok. So we left at 10 whilst the show was annoyingly still going, to many huffs from other audience members. Couldn't find a cab anywhere. Legged it across London to Victoria coach station, got there with a minute to spare. Oh sorry the boarding is closed you can't get on. But the coach is there, we need to get home tonight can we please get on. No, it's clearly stated it closes 2 minutes before departure.

**** sake, a nice day in London, now we're gonna be stuck here all night. Missus having a breakdown on the street. I start looking at other options and there's a train into Leicester at half 11. ****ing 140 quid for the 2 of us. Disgusting price on east mids rail (£10 each to go down from Nuneaton). So I bite the bullet and get it. Gotta get from Victoria coach station to St Pancras. Black cab it, another £25.

No barrier to get on the train. Get on, try and relax. World's ****ing slowest train, I don't think it got out of 1st gear. Some **** on the row next to us spent the entire journey watching Facebook videos with the sound up, despite having ****ing headphones on. ****. No tickets checked on train, no barrier at leicester so could've gone for free. Now we need to get back to hinckley. Its half 1, phone has 5% battery and its bloody freezing. 2 ubers accept, then see the destination and cancel on us. 1% battery, another accepts, phone dies, just pray he doesn't cancel. He did turn up, took us all the way home, for £30.

So what we actually went for was mostly great, all the other shit ruined it somewhat. Just reminds me why i drive everywhere, I even contemplated driving down to Stanmore yesterday despite already having the transport tickets, but thought it nice to have a beer etc. Won't make that mistake again.

That’s a shame, mate.

I wonder if an Uber would have taken you up there from London for a similar price. Would’ve been less stressful.

If you didn’t scan any tickets you’d maybe be able to claim a refund if you booked through the Trainline.

Isn't that just a rip-off of the old British Airways advert? lol

The Scooch cover version was much better. Could just see Madders and Grealish doing all the moves for a 2022 remake.

That must have been so stressful.

In my experience of something similar in terms of logistics and travel, (and stress), the only person you can actually depend on is yourself.

After a bad situation that escalated, I decided next time we go to London we pre-book a parking space and drive. It's easier and cheaper in the long run.

Although we probably won't go to London again. It's a horrible place.

I get that you wanted to treat Mrs K. A shame it was so traumatic.
