Looks like you cooked that in 18 minutes...Still too long :P

Was like butter, mate.

That, and Kamado overnight briskets are about the only things I miss in these days of being a happy clappy vegivore 😕

Tell me what bits of beef to buy, I'll keep your legacy alive!

It's not even a manly thing of having a steak blue.

It's just so good when it's that rare!

Making a roast beef right now. Was supposed to make it yesterday but got back late so its just been marinating in the fridge qith the seasoning. Smells so good. But just having mash, carrots and corn with it. Weeknight dont want to get crazy.

Come on then @Jattdogg

Was it good? (I bet it was)

Did you have Yorkshire pudding with it? :P

Nah mate, it's bloody monday no time for that. It was good but thats also from the seasoning we marinated it in. Can't eat plain beef roast that's just salted and black pepper.  Well, i can but don't care to. Had some mash, carrots and corn with it. Gravy of course.

Not red enough for my liking but the kids and wife don't like it with too much of that so I compromise.

If someone asked you to not swear in there presence. I mean if you knew someone, say went your in laws house and they say "please don't swear" would you respect that or would you do typical modern attitude of "it's free speech"

In their house I'd respect their wishes, yes.

My grown up kids still don't swear in front of me and I didn't with my parents, it's just a respect thing imo.

I'd respect their wishes. Definitely don't swear in front of my parents.

There's a time and a place, in the pub before football, with close friends, that's fine but I'm definitely more restrained in polite company.

Did the Christmas decorations yesterday, there was a lot of swearing!!

Started off all enthusiastic and festive. Several hours later, tinsel everywhere, covered in sodding glitter and the b@st@rd fairy lights were still tangled.

I choose where and when to swear, i doubt my mother, MIL or anyone of advanced age has heard me say fvck, My daughter grand daughter, and children in general, will definitley not have heard me swear. However as a general rule they are just words.

Swearing, and "manners" are pretty much a social construct created by the upper class to define, control and put down the working class. There are some that suggest that swearing and ignorance of some social structures is a demonstration of competence, free thought, and capability.

Of course for many, those are scary concepts to be allowed amongst the great unwashed... and remember if you go to work for someone else, no matter how much you earn, you are working class.

To be honest if someone said that to me I'd think they were a bit controlling. I wouldn't swear in front of them but I wouldn't want to see much of them either.

I called Specsavers back to change my first appointment I had just made with them.

They couldn't find any record of any appointment.

I ranted on about only having called a few mins earlier and even gave them the name of the person I spoke to.

When they didn't recognise the name, I realised I had made the appointment with Vision Express.

It's easily done though isn't it?

But I cannot top my mate's effort on a stag do, who couldn't get back into his hotel room after a night on the piss, got the reception to let him into the room only to wake up the poor sod who was already in there. Right number room, right hotel chain, just not that actual hotel

Virgin haven't disconnected us as requested, our initial contract ended yesterday. Which I terminated. And they emailed confirmation. They've just adjusted the account to the £149 package it reverted to.

I'm waiting until Monday to complain, as sky don't activate our WiFi until then. Every cloud and all that.

Never used to mind driving in the snow, but today's experience changed my mind!

Been away for the weekend, leaving the hotel had to drive up a hill in at least 2 inches of snow. Was the only way out to get back to the main road. Our car and other cars slipping and sliding all over the place. Wheel-spinning galore. At times not even worried about moving for a while, but more concerned about other drivers not being able to stop their own cars sliding and hitting our car. Quite tetchy and scary at times especially when the big 4x4s struggle and almost hit you as they slide back.

Eventually got enough grip to gain momentum and slowly rev up the gears to make it to the top of the incline.

But part of me did think we'd be there for hours and wondering what we'd have all had to do to get away.

Not sure what they sell over there seeing as you dont get much snow but if they sell bags of road salt buy some and keep it in your trunk for the winter could help with traction. People over here use that, bag of sand or even kitty litter (non clumping). If your stuck toss some of that in front of each tire etc.

Ive seen peope keep a piece of wood in theor car for the same reason. Handy for traction and smashing a  t w a t  across the face for life, death and/or road rage reasons.

Also wanted to +1 with a thumbs-up, but the last part changed it lol

Generally roads are gritted or spread with salt but sometimes the smaller roads are just left unattended. Either that, or councils are sometimes not quick enough to get the gritters or salt-spreaders out.

We are crap over here when we even get an inch of snow.

We arent used to it and everyone still drives like a tw@t.

I'm refraining from cycling to work as it's too slippery in the mornings and car drivers are tw@ts.

Having said that I will revert to being a tw@t car driver for the rest of the working year until temperatures reach a staggering 3c atleast in the mornings!!!

Got a cold and It’s given me a wheeze. Hoping it doesn’t get any worse as got a big day of watching football in the pub planned for tomorrow. 🤞

Hope you didn't cough up spittle when Geroud scored and when Kane missed. Could be highly infectious. Especially if it landed in some other guy's pint.
