The amount of Gen-Z ers who like, use the word like, in like, every sentence multiple times. Like they don't, you know, like know how to talk, like, properly.

I think this has been a thing since at least the 90s. Most people who do it tend to grow out of it, I've found.

I'm getting pretty sick of Starmer saying: "Let me tackle that head on", then adding that they are "laser-focused" on providing a "robust" solution...

Modern companies are sodding stupid.

Virgin media 24month contract coming to an end, renewal price is way higher than we were paying. So signed back up to bt. Now when they are alerted we're leaving through the switch service they send an email with an "exclusive offer" to try and keep us. It's too late now idiots.

If you're business plan assumption is "they'll be too lazy to switch so try and fleece them", don't then ask people to go through the nonsense of cancelling their new plan to come back to you.

It's so ****ing ridiculous that these service providers aren't made to just charge one price across the board.

I've often got a better deal after calling them and that was by saying, I'm thinking of leaving. That has usually bought about a slightly better deal.

Earlier this year though, we had an introductory offer from one of the new cable providers which was great. I called Vigin and simply said I'm off. They asked why and then offered me a pretty decent package to stay. I still said no.

Then, after the agent 'spoke to a manager', I was offered the same package I was already on, that was cheaper than the pre increase price, even after taking into account the annual price increase during this new contract.

So, in other words, do some research on alternative providers and call them with a real determination to leave.

This approach, of course, is not unique to Virgin either.

Motion photos.   I have switched the feature off now but it felt as if I have vertigo looking at my recent photos.

It was automatically turned on in a recent firmware update and I had to switch each existing photo's motion feature off one by one urgh.

Updates should say, here's a new feature you can turn on, instead of just doing it.

So annoying.

Companies not even posting a range of salary on their job postings, or some nonsense like "£ Competitive"

Oh, yeah it's great fun for me to spend hours searching for roles, customising my CV and writing cover letters... Then filling out the EXACT SAME INFO on their website for some reason, only to find out a week later they're offering £20k less than my current role with the same job title.

Should be a legal ****ing requirement you dicks.

I literally won't apply for a job that doesn't specify salary. Why would I? I would go much harder than you have on the lazy companies doing this if I didn't think it would result in my post limit being even more limited

Loathe Virgin with a passion could carry on but my blood pressure would only go up.

Agreed there needs to be one price across the board, no more haggling/threatening to

leave/ let’s see if we can match that quote bollocks.

My biggest disappointment in this government is that it won’t crackdown on the dubious practices of big business which sees the electorate just taken for a ride.
