Agree with all the above. It's harrowing. 

 

Perhaps not to the same extent, but the consultants/professionals who were aware of the 'coincidences' of babies dying on Letby's watch, but not doing anything about it are also absolute cvnts. Refusing to take heed of suspicions raised is just as abhorrent. Several lives could have been saved had they taken notice and appropriate action at the first note of suspicion. Instead, Letby got an apology.

Reckon the verdict might cause a 'watershed' moment in terms of allegations against other nurses.

Concerns were raised several times to hospital managers by consultants. The fact that those consultants were ignored and told to write a letter of apology to Letby, as well as being threatened that they would be reported to the GMC if they didn't, reveals more about the hospital management treatment of whistleblowers. As you say, they are the actual "ACOOT"

Exactly this Para.  My mum retired about seven years ago after a lifetime of nursing at the Royal.

 

As an experienced professional with a nursing degree she raised concerns on a number of occasions about the poor quality of some of her colleagues, including amongst other things a nurse repeatedly slapping an elderly patient in a wheelchair.  

 

The quality of nurses gradually decreased as she got older.  This was mainly, but not exclusively, due to 'qualified' nurses from abroad whose overall knowledge and pastoral care was poor.

 

She was virtually accused of being racist despite a lifetime working in a diverse environment alongside many great colleagues and friends from minority backgrounds.  A liberal, left wing advocate of multiculturalism she eventually retired early in despair.  

 

Management simply didn't want to acknowledge there was an issue, didn't want to address it or to investigate.  Easier to brush it all under the carpet and hope for the best.  

 

Letby is a harrowing case and one evil individual is responsible, but NHS management need to take a long hard look at themselves.  

 

They won't, of course.

Whole life order granted.

Was never going to be, could never be, anything else. I would wager there are very, very few cases where a whole life term has been more deserved.

Her life is essentially over. She'll just exist in fear and regimented routine for the rest of her days.

 

No friends, no career, nothing to look forward to, no hope, no chance of ever falling in love and having a relationship, no nights out, no privacy, no opportunity even to have a bath, a takeaway, a bottle of wine and watch crap on Netflix ever again.

 

I'd rather be dead tbh.

I watched the panorama about her the other day and was amazed that she has a friend standing by her. She's going to get dogs abuse surely so it's like some weird kind of Stockholm syndrome situation. It showed a graphic on when situations happened and she was there for every one which in itself was ludicrously damning. I don't get how the friend can be convinced she's anything other than a psycho

Unfortunately, the money from satisfying the confirmation bias of racists, misogynists and those ignorant of science critical to the future is rather good. And he sees the bottom line and goes with it.

I wouldn't be quite as bothered if they didn't brand it as a news channel. It clearly isn't a news channel and it is actually very disturbing that members of our government have slots on a channel that platforms conspiracy theorists.

I think what's wrong with him is he made a few careless comments, doubled down on them, torpedoing his reasonably successful acting career which he has then replaced with right wing grift.

 

I'd have probably have gone to work in a garden centre or something in that situation, but I imagine we're very different people
