Snow

Please find me this article!

Hmmm, I'm unconvinced such an article exists. Does Kingfox's 'a guy ended up in hospital...' not sound a little too much like the classic, 'my friend has this problem...'?!! *cough*

Feel well sorry for all the little hedgehogs.

On Snow Babies, the BBC wildlife show, there were some monkeys in some snow mountains and there was a big hot spring that they all paddled about in. They were happy as Larry. You'd think our councils would install some around our country for the wildlife in this weather. But surprise surprise, they haven't.

Got around half a foot of snow on the ground in Hinckley area, more in places but most road are clear, the only ones that aren't are small residential roads. Can't understand why all schools are closed

Because quite a lot of the teachers will have to travel in from a fair distance away - they don't all live on the doorstep.

I can't believe some people these days.

I made a sarcastic picture of myself pretending to look out of the window and shrieking with excitement at the snow. In the next picture, I was holding up a sign saying "Not(!)" and I uploaded it to Facebook and Instagram saying this is my take on people's general overreaction to snow (ie uploading a picture of their front garden to Facebook and saying "it is snowing!"

Several people who did the above liked my picture and there is even one person who liked my picture then he went to Dublin next day and uploading a picture to Instagram saying it is snowing in Dublin when there are barely any. Bloody people eh.

Tough old life, isn't it. You could always, you know, not go on facebook, if it annoys you so much.

I'd say it was the bane of my existence, but just adding it to the long list with all the other things which are also the bane of my existence. What an existence.

Defo getting old now mate.... Jon the moaners club!

This is not a moan about the highways agency,in fact I think they have done a great job keeping most roads clear during

The current conditions.

It's clear that during heavy snow, as over the weekend, hills and even slopes are where most vehicles struggle causing

build backs and blockages.

Wouldn't it be possible to greatly increase the amount they apply to these areas?

I live on a bit of a hill and on friday evening we were out" helping" vehicles up the slope, not entirely altruistic,if the roads

gridlocked were stuck!

Or the H.A. could leave a few bags at pre- determined address and the locals could re-grit when necessary . O.K I might

spill a bit on my drive but surely a small price to pay.
