What gigs are you going?

Recommended Posts

I’ve decided not to buy anymore gig tickets until things stabilise.

I had the Dropkick Murphy’s down for February next year, that’s been kicked back into January ‘23.

I’ve got Parkway Drive tickets for Wembley from April ‘20, which has been kicked back once already, there’s no sign of them naming a date when it will actually happen.  2023 at the earliest I think

Easy Life were brilliant, don’t think I’ve seen a band interact with the crowd like they do. They’re proper fun and don’t take themselves too seriously.

I first saw them at Fred Perry event gig at Wellgosh in 2018 and they’ve absolutely rocketed since then

Was at this too- phenomenal live band. You wouldn’t think their music would translate too well to a live performance but as you say the crowd interaction is top notch. Not seen or heard of a bad performance out of them.

Has anyone recently been to the Cookie (now apparently renamed The Big Difference under new ownership)?

Just wondering if gigs there are still down in that rather unventilated cellar?

I have a ticket for The Nightingales there on Sunday. Normally, I'd definitely go but am torn as a crowded, unventilated cellar might not be a good idea when I'm 59 with a heart condition and due booster jab later this month.

I'm also guessing that it's going to be rammed as other Nightingales gigs have been selling out after Stewart Lee's film about Robert Lloyd and the band....

OMD tomorrow

Stereophonics

Weller & Michael Kiwanuka next year

Would have like to have gone to Easy Life, next time.  Would also like to see Anderson Paak.

Covid has really made me want to get to gigs, live music, can't beat it!!

OMD was great, stood, same for the Stereophonics, taking the kids.

Sticky floor last night, brilliant!!!!

I didn't even know that was on! I could easily jump on the Nightingales bandwagon myself as that film was GREAT.

Like you, Alf, I'm not sure I'd be very comfortable in that set up though, and I've already had my third jab
