Placebo in Glasgow in December. Been a city I've wanted to visit for a while and can imagine it's a great place to watch a gig.

Woke up in Glasgow to find out this has been cancelled due to Molko not drinking enough Vodka Lemsips. Beyond gutted as this was a Christmas present for my wife last year and we had some rotten luck with gig cancellations during the pandemic too.

Luckily my hunch was right and this is a fvcking cool city so doubt we'll get bored, but an absolute kick in the teeth nonetheless.

Guns n Roses week after next, Optus Stadium, Perth.

Did you enjoy?  I was tempted when they had a load of $60 tickets, but was busy in the end.

I really loved it, but the crowd was very subdued. Seemed to be lots of empty seats and loads of space on the pitch. Not sure if there was some sort of crowd limit. I had expected it to be packed.

Slash is unbelievable, and thought Rose’s voice stood up pretty well. They were on for over 3 hours and I was dying for a leak by the end but managed to hold on as I didn’t want to miss some of the songs.

Freezing cold though (by Perth standards).

Steve Mason was great at the firebug 3rd Dec…. Even played a couple of his older tunes to please the crowd

Just got in from Kula Shaker in Cambridge. We dug it, they dug it, so much so that we got a genuine encore in “Knight On The Town”, first airing in umpteen years with this now fully reformed line up. Next album could be very special if the 3 previews tonight are anything to go by. Highlights for me though were Grateful When You’re Dead / Jerry Was There and Hush during which I came out of retirement and actually danced. It was like John Travolta had put his fingers in a plug socket :D. And returning organist Jay Darlington now looks like God :worship:

Looking forward to paying the Leadmill a visit, a venue I’ve wanted to tick off for a while now.

Enjoy Sheff!
It’s lost some sparkle over the last few years but still a wicked place with belting people!

Long story short.

I’ve ended up with two tickets for Beyoncé at Spurs on Spring Bank Holiday Monday.

Someone really wanted to go, and I’ll pretty much give anything a go, so I went through the hell of the O2 presale and managed to get two seats. Then apparently they can’t do that date……  I should have checked etc (Two minute window to purchase on Ticketmaster!) anyway let’s not go there!!!

Anyway I was thinking of using the resell on Ticketmaster, I naively assumed they would charge exactly what I paid for them but it looks like they are asking near double for resell tickets that are on there. Is that how it works?

I've resold stuff on there and it's been a bit more than I paid but not nearly double. Maybe something to do with Ticketmaster's 'dynamic pricing' BS.

I think I worked it out. They have a number of ‘Platinum Tickets’ they obviously held back still to sell for around 3 times the original price. The resale tickets have already been sold so they are not going to price them below their unsold platinum tickets.

I understand it but the double standards of them doing their utmost to stop anyone selling on for a profit and doing the exact same thing themselves sucks.
