The Year Of The Fox Posted 20 June 2011 Share Posted 20 June 2011 Probably because he hasnt played so often. There were a few games last season where he scored some important goals i'm positive? Who did we play after man city away?he scored then, though cant remember if it was a game defining goal. Didn't he also get the equaliser against donny? iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 20 June 2011 Share Posted 20 June 2011 Delighted with this news. Arguably the best keeper in the league. Would have preferred Westwood on a free, but 1 mill for Kasper seems a good bit o' business. at Forest fans too btw. Deluded bunch. Maynard next ! Good work :sge:

The Doctor Posted 20 June 2011 Share Posted 20 June 2011 He'll miss it depends how far it's travelling from. If it's coming from afar then he'll probably go past it by mistake, if it's coming from close by then he'll catch it no problem.

Bilo Posted 20 June 2011 Share Posted 20 June 2011 I'd be surprised to say the least if Schmeichel didn't agree terms. Wages? Check. Ambitious club that could realise his ambitions? Check. First team football? Check. Top class manager with whom he has worked before? Check. It's not finalised but as I say, it would be a shock if he wasn't a Leicester player by the end of the week. topharry123 Posted 20 June 2011 Share Posted 20 June 2011 awesome news, hopefully we can conclude the deal asap! Great first signing of the summer if it goes through, only 24 and already showing signs of his likeness to his old man!

We spoke to Kasper's agent at the end of the season about a contract extension and it was apparent that it was going to be difficult." Schmeichel was surprisingly promoted to first-choice Manchester City keeper while Eriksson was in charge at Eastlands. And the former England boss then signed him during his ill-fated spell at Notts County. martyn Posted 20 June 2011 Share Posted 20 June 2011 I'll abstain from joining the over excited hoards and reserve judgement on Schmeichel. He seems to divide Leeds fans across the board.
lestajigs Posted 20 June 2011 Share Posted 20 June 2011 Kasper is ambitious but he's also got riled at playing 2nd or 3rd fiddle at clubs so he'll be looking to move to a club where he's 1st choice with serious ambitions for Premiership football. I find it strange though that he's not prepared to sign a new deal at Leeds and that's why they're selling him. Leeds aren't any smaller than us. Kent Posted 20 June 2011 Share Posted 20 June 2011 I'll abstain from joining the over excited hoards and reserve judgement on Schmeichel. He seems to divide Leeds fans across the board. I think that tends to happen when talking about an outgoing player. Some are honest and some are bitter.
simpmeister Posted 20 June 2011 Share Posted 20 June 2011 Hopefully will turn out to be a great signing! whenever i've seen kasper this season he's made some excellent saves. Still fairly young at 24 too and at £1m you can't go wrong!
