Nigel Pearson doesn't rate Matt Mills

As long as it's the right statement and based on one game today, it was.

It will take a couple of games to see whether it remains a good decision and see if it makes a difference.

Whatever happens we have very impressive options at CD in Mills, SSL, Bamba and Morgan. Can't see Tunch getting a look in. :/

NP doesn't rate Mills? I know the OP is ITK, but all the evidence up to now contradicts it, unless something has changed

I don't know anything about this storming out stuff but my original post that NP doesn't rate Mills has come from a good contact. It might be wrong. Just thought I'd share what I'd been told.

As much as I want Mills to come good, hes been crap for ages. Time for Wes to take pole position.

said the same to someone today, Mills like many others, has been out of form for too long this season

Sean St Ledger all round displays have always been solid, it were just a few sloppy errors early doors, but I have always liked the look of him.

The fact of the matter is, Mills is overrated, he is a mardy a*** idiot and St Ledger is better than him. In all rights today, he deserved to be dropped, now hopefully Pearson will stick with St Ledger and Morgan because they dominated, Mills doesn't dominate, Mills is just rash and plays too much hoof ball.

If he had a strop, fine the idiot and send him out on loan, we don't need him, when we have St Ledger, Sol Sol Bamba and now the beast of Wes Morgan.

I like St Ledger at RB at the expense of Peltier. Mills is clearly a good player, and if St Ledger was played at RB, 4 (Bamba, Mills, Ledge, Morgan) into 2 becomes 3...

Also lets stick Bamba in midfield - ala Yaya Toure - he's defo got it in his locker!

i agree with SSL at right back for pelts.

SSL Morgan Mills Konch

think pearson will adopt this back four and hope we can squeeze in bamba as on his day he is solid,

Good job we didn't do that when Seanypoos had a strop or your favourite non mardy defender wouldn't be here now would he?

I think it's risky to fall into all this nonsense about who the 'favourite' defender is or isn't.. It serves no purpose.

Instead, accept that Mills has been dropped by the manager, at least for one game, revel in our defensive solidity yesterday and move on.

Mills needed a kick up the arris.. He's had it, and we move on.

Our defensive display yesterday was top drawer and Richie Wellens, as skipper, was back to his usual self.

This may be a classic 'a man told me in the pub' story, but..

A man told me in the pub in Uppingham after the match that they'd just seen Matt Mills (and showed me a photo with him), and that Mills had said that Pearson was a knob (or something similar). The chap seemed pretty peed off about it too.

Morgan looked good..

A great spot this: for those who have recorded the highlights from the ITV show last night -

just after Nugent scores the director shows a replay of Pearson and the bench celebrating.

You can make out Mills at the back of the bench

looking like He doesn't give a fook at all. Shocking behaviour, he doesn't give a crap about us.

Good

This big time,

I really don't get this whole competitiveness we create between ourselves over which players we support, and therefore if we support one we can't suppoort the other, I've seen it with the midfielders, Wellens vs King, Danns vs Gally, and all over the centre backs Mills vs SSL vs Bamba vs Morgan.

Mills was dropped by Pearson, and I support that decision, and I agree with it, but even if I didn't agree with it, I would support it, and I certainly wouldn't be taking it out on the other players. SSL and Morgan didn't drop Mills, NP did, because of the way Mills has been playing and his inability to cope with big men up front, and maybe his attitude.

It proved to be right yesterday. I expect Mills to be back at some point, and I hope he is fired up and proves his doubters wrong, and I hope these stories of him being unprofessional aren't true, I don't read anything into him not celebrating on the bench, and I am not going to slate him for being unhappy at being dropped, as long he acts professionally about it.
