Seen a few articles and twitter comments from across the channel and they are raving about his performance again.

Be amazed if he's here longer than a year.

He's nothing short of absolute class, and I can't wait to see him in his prime. Would be really sad if he was to be sold but I don't think Pearson would let him go for chump change - I wouldn't be surprised if we get offers over £10m in the January window at this rate

Can any1 translate this? Tried doing this on my phone but I'm having a mare

A hero named Knockaert

The blueberries were able to rely on the energy of Anthony Knockaert, during the 1-0 win against the Norwegians in the 1st leg of the Euro u-21 play-offs. The Leicester City winger provided the assist and was the stand out player.

Having failed to qualify for the Euros since 2007, the blueberries were already under pressure before heading to Norway for the 1st leg of the play-offs. The coach, Erick Mombaerts had decided to recall Yann M'Villa in order to give another dimension to the team. The Rennes player has provided assurance in midfield, but it is a relatively unknown winger who dominated the proceedings with his talent and desire. Yes, the Blueberries can thank Anthony Knockaert for being decisive in the 1-0 victory, that the team will look to wrap up in 4 days time in Norway.

While some might be surprised to see him in place of Antoine Griezmann, the former Guingamp player showed that he deserved his place with a solid performance. The top scorer last season for Guingamp in Ligue 2 with 11 goals, the man from Roubaix has quickly stamped his mark on the team since his transfer...in the Championship, UK. Already with 3 goals since the start of the season for Leicester City, where he started but usually as a substitute, the player was able to tip the balance in his favor, for a starting position for the Blueberries. His goal against Chile in a friendly last month, his first with hopefully more to come, probably had some influence in this decision.

While he was unassuming at the start of the game, he shone for the first time with the opening goal scored by Varane (23rd minute). Cleverly, he played the corner very quickly, in order to find the free player in the box. However, his shining display actually began in the second half. It began with a precise dribble, which ended in a very dangerous cross (59th minute). Then following that with 2 fierce strikes, forcing the keeper to make high flying saves (64th and 80th minutes). But beyond his qualities of crossing and shooting, the young winger fought admirably for the ball. He tore the balls from the feet of the opposition whilst maintaining complete composure. If Knockaert can keep this momentum up, we'll be seeing him a lot in the tricolor jersey.

Et voila! :P:thumbup:

The only thing that comforts me for now is that Palace still have Wilfried Zaha, and surely we have more financial clout than them? So might be able to hold out at least until we can demand a huge fee. (Assuming his development continues in this direction, and also part-assuming we are not PL before they come a-knockin')

Zaha came through the Palace academy though, and as such has much more of an affinity to them than Knockaert does to us. Knockaert is going to want to be in the PL next season and I'm 95% sure he will be, fingers crossed it's with us.

Anthony Knockaert and the France Under-21 squad will take a slender lead to Norway on Tuesday, as they look to secure a place at next summer’s UEFA Under-21 Championship Finals.

Les Espoirs hosted the first leg of their play-off tie in Le Havre on Friday night, where Anthony was rewarded for his outstanding recent form in a Leicester City shirt with a starting berth on the left side of midfield.

Winning only his second cap after a goal-scoring debut against Chile last month, Anthony completed the full 90 minutes and produced the assist for the game’s only goal in the first half.

Some typically-quick thinking from a corner gave the Foxes forward time to produce a telling cross that was headed home by Real Madrid’s Raphaël Varane, giving the French a precious lead heading into Tuesday’s return fixture in Drammen.

Elsewhere on the first night of fixtures in the international break, Andy King was an unused substitute for Wales as they came from behind late-on to beat Scotland and register their first victory in qualification for the 2014 World Cup.

Trailing in Cardiff to a first-half goal from West Bromwich Albion’s James Morrison, Chris Coleman’s side hit back with a double from Tottenham Hotspur’s Gareth Bale – the first from the penalty spot – in the final 10 minutes, to pick up a much-needed win ahead of Tuesday’s trip to group favourites Croatia.

I think he'd have top get double figures in goals and assists to warrant £10M+, getting a bit ahead of ourselves here.

10 The Frenchman has said his footballing idol is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, to whom he dedicated his outrageous 'Scorpion' goal against Huddersfield.

Even more FLAIR. Don't know about you lot but I love Zlatan, the bloke's incredible, very much a prima-donna but never known someone to so consistently dis-prove his doubters.

Funny idol to have though, they're completely different style players.

at the end of the day we need to support him on the pitch and make him feel amazing, not all players are money grabbers. Look at Liam Moore....

if we get promoted and he loves the club i think he will stay, maybe completely wrong.

If we got promoted, we'd probably be the biggest club that wants Liam Moore.

Wilfred Zaha has chosen to represent England instead of the Ivory Coast and so as hes 'English' then im hoping a quality young Englishman is in high demand due to the amount of homegrown players needed in squads theese days...

Tempted to try and find a stream for France U21's match tonight instead of watching England, I just can't get enough of Champagne Superknockaert at the minute.

Also, in todays Mercury King has talked about the close bond that Tony and Futacs have formed. It'd be interesting to see them pair play together up front, it might be a great partnership. Knockaert's deliveries and passing are spot on and Marko is the sort of player who thrives off good crosses and balls through the channel. I hope Nige gives him a chance.
