Leicfox Posted 21 December 2012 Posted 21 December 2012 Just scored for Blackpool. But christ how bad is their pitch? Someone needs to tell Pearson to get our players training on the local cow field in preparation for our game there in Feb. Disgraceful for a Championship club that's not long been in the Prem.
dpjfox Posted 21 December 2012 Posted 21 December 2012 pitch is a disgrace chairman too tight to relay it, even with a few million soon to come in (hes not touched the 90 mill from when they went up 7 miles away at Fleetwood the pitch they have is magnificent
kingfox Posted 22 December 2012 Posted 22 December 2012 If there is anything in this rumour, I wouldn't be surprised if he was our first signing of January.
MGLCFC Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 I'd sign Baptiste, play him right back and move De Leat across to left back. He's supposed to be as comfortable there as he is at right back.
Woollett's Wellies Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 In his post match interview after the Hull game, NP remarked that Keane was back from his injury. I wonder if that means a permanent signing for a defender is seen as less urgent?
Tielemans63 Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 Lexi Baps would be an ideal signing - I still hope it happens!
foxfanazer Posted 27 December 2012 Posted 27 December 2012 Lexi Baps would be an ideal signing - I still hope it happens! mmmm baps
FrankieADZ Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 so according to Sky Sports News we've agreed a deal then... "Sky sources understand that Leicester have agreed a deal with Blackpool for defender Alex Baptiste #ssn" https://twitter.com/...754548055228417 Fee believed to be around £1 million Also....I see John Percy has RT'd it too..
SMX11 Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 Wow Pearson certainly likes to get the deals done early
Happy Fox Posted 28 December 2012 Author Posted 28 December 2012 Bloody Hell we are on a roll. Good signing this would be seeing as St Ledger may be out for the foreseeable future.
kyleolly Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 I think we'll have 3 new signings on January 1st and that'll be it for our January transfer window!
Soar Fox Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 £1 million seems a bit steep. Surely if that's the price he won't be just a back up.
FrankieADZ Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 £1 million seems a bit steep. Surely if that's the price he won't be just a back up. thought the same....hes a versatile player which Pearson loves too.
LeicesterAreGoingUp Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 good signing. hes pretty pacey as well which is what we have been missing at CB since Ledge got injured. Also likes to score goals!!! WE'RE LEICESTER CITY, WE'LL BUY WHO WANT!!!
dmayne7 Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 Not so keen on Baptiste as when ever I have seen him play he looks like a clown BUT he's been an established player at this level and I won't judge him until he's played a decent amount of games for us.
lcfcsnow Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 Never rated him myself but a typical Pearson defender.. just hope that he turns out more like Morgan than Whitbread.
Brenfox Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 Seems a lot of money as I think his contract is up in the summer but I may be wrong.
dannythefox Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 Nice to see the deals been done early I'm pleased up to now.
Happy Fox Posted 28 December 2012 Author Posted 28 December 2012 £1m is hardly a lot and for a player of his caliber it is a bargain imo.
Spudulike Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 hmmm unsure on this. not sure we need him. St Ledger is out until God knows when and Whitbread is only a 20-25 games a season player. Only takes an injury or suspension for Wes and we'll be struggling.
Brenfox Posted 28 December 2012 Posted 28 December 2012 £1m is hardly a lot and for a player of his caliber it is a bargain imo. Don't really know a massive amount about him to be honest. Always thought he was just a big lump but I've probably confused him with someone else.
