Bert Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 But he didn't knock and get a visitors pass?! No mate, passed go and collected his bonus
The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 No mate, passed go and collected his bonus Were you in at the time? I've always wondered how I'd react. I think I'd that scared I'd end up killing them.
Kitchandro Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 Not read the thread for people's thoughts on this, but do people think hes guilty? Looking at him I really don't think he is. Have you followed this story at all? His defence since the incident has been completely laughable (or it would be if it wasn't so tragic). Not to mention he's altered his story along the way. I'm 99% sure he's guilty.
Legend_in_blue Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 She didn’t notice Oscar sneaking up behind her. It was the silence of the limbs.
Guesty Posted 3 March 2014 Posted 3 March 2014 I see your point obviously but again, a burglar isn't going to go through the front door. Not a good un anyway. Yeah but a burglar is hardly likely to lock himself in a toilet cubicle either. And you'd think Pistorus might check have checked that the person who wasn't in the bed next to him wasn't in the cubicle before firing.
ElusiveEd Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 When I first heard that a legless sports star had murdered his partner I really felt for Sheryl Gascoigne.
Jimothy Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 I saw Oscar Pistorius recently and said you should have got some black shoe polish and blackened her up, then you'd have got away with it. Afterwards I thought that's in bad taste, why would he have shoe polish.
Bert Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 Were you in at the time? I've always wondered how I'd react. I think I'd that scared I'd end up killing them. Yeah all fast asleep mate. Front door wasn't shut properly so whoever it was just poled in, had a fag in our house, took a can of pop from the fridge and then took the TV. You couldn't make it up.
hairy Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 What confuses me with the whole thing is why is this news anywhere outside South Africa and why I should give a shit?
kingfox Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 He is lying through his teeth. If it was a Burglar, you would wake her up, or check if she was in the bed, or she would of probably woken up herself. A massive argument kicked off, she locked herself in the bathroom for cover, the rest speaks for itself.
Wycombe Fox Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 Still, look on the bright side. If he drops the soap in prison, at least he won't have to bend over to pick it up.

Legend_in_blue Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 Watching this now on sky news. Im convinced that you could hear a gun shot from 177m away, and screams. The defence lawyer does not however. It appears to be a well to do, quiet neighbourhood. Youd hear from over 200m imo.

Unabomber Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 Does anyone know if he will be allowed to take his little leg springy things in with him if he gets jailed?

It appears to be a well to do, quiet neighbourhood. Youd hear from over 200m imo. Gunshot perhaps. Screams from that far away when bathroom window was shut though? I'm not so sure. Also, if you hear a gunshot and screams, how do you go straight back to sleep?!

steveherbe Posted 8 March 2014 Posted 8 March 2014 Is this honky going to be doing any time then or what? Not kept up with events so don't know what the crack is. Isnt this comment racist? If he was black, and someone said is this nigger going to be doing time, there would be an outcry. Just asking.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 8 March 2014 Posted 8 March 2014 What kind of person shoots someone unknown (and therefore you don't know who they are, what they are doing, if they are hostile) without giving a warning? At best, the guy is a complete coward. However, from the trial so far, I'm inclined to think he's a nasty piece of work.
The People's Hero Posted 8 March 2014 Posted 8 March 2014 We all know he shot her after an argument. Everyone in that courtroom knows it. How he's got bail and remained free for over a year since it happened is ridiculous and his crocodile tears in the courtroom are an example of having your cake and eating it.

Because he's white, famous and wealthy?
The People's Hero Posted 8 March 2014 Posted 8 March 2014 Because he's white, famous and wealthy? Correct. You may need copy and paste in a moment... Why is there a nagging feeling amongst some that he may still somehow manage to 'walk' (!) free / get a joke of a sentence? Seriously though, that's not going to happen here is it? He's going down.
Beliall Posted 8 March 2014 Posted 8 March 2014 Does anyone know if he will be allowed to take his little leg springy things in with him if he gets jailed? i've heard there are special concessions for amputees in jail Correct. Having never lived in South Africa I am disinclined to comment on what my reaction would be in a similar circumstances. I'd like to think that I wouldn't be shooting through a locked door but who knows? There's a lot of things about this case which (if he is telling the truth, which is a pretty huge "if") make it very difficult to relate to as (I presume) able-bodied people living in England. Either way he should be doing a long stretch, but I really don't think that the morals of it are quite as clear cut as you're making out.
