What about Jonjo Shelvey

Recommended Posts

I watched that 'Inside Liverpool' when it was on a few months back. Rodgers seems to love Shelvey, hence he is generally a regular for Liverpool. Don't think he is that good personally, but would probably do a decent job in the Championship.

Apparently this kid, Leon Goretzka, is absolutely mustard.

He currently plays for Bochum and, according to reports, has been looked at by Barca and Arsenal scouts. He might not be ready for that calibre of club just yet, but he could be another Knockaert in the summer if we play our cards right.

Big prospect for the future.

What has this got to do with Shelvey?

On the subject of young, up-and-coming midfielders seeing as we have no chance of landing Shelvey.

Teixera and Suso also mentioned, it's good to look at young players. After all if we're promoted, you can bet Pearson will continue with his policy of youthful signings so it'll be players like these he'll be interested in.

what about that messi fella from barcelona, he looks pretty good and scores a few goals. lets take him for the rest of the season. i don't think loan signings quite work like that. jonjo shelvey starts for liverpool now and again, has goals for them, and is usually one of the first subs used if on the bench.

we can't just pick and choose any players we think will do well for us.

Matty James was England U20 captain for a period, prior to injury he was looking really good think he will become a key player for us, admittedly we need more competition in that area though. Doubt we would get Shelvey but got to be someone similar available on loan
