foxfanazer Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 Yep, and did so the moment they first started. Can expect this every season though. This morning, do I give a fvck that Suarez trains alone? No. Do I give a shit that Bale's is injured but is still in the Wales squad? Nope! Do I care one iota about ShreK? Nah. Just want them to get their transfers over and done with, but what would be funny is if Liverpool sell Suarez on deadline day then panic-buy someone believed to be as good as him as replacement. Like they did with Carroll you mean?
StanSP Posted 8 August 2013 Posted 8 August 2013 Like they did with Carroll you mean? Exactly like that! Wonder who they'll waste £35m on this time!

SystonFox Posted 10 August 2013 Posted 10 August 2013 Weakened celtic side beat Liverpoool at Anfield. Never knew Anfield was in Dublin? Yanited have lost most pre season friendlies. MOYES OUT!!! Anyone reading anything into pre season friendly results is a buffoon
Stadt Posted 12 August 2013 Posted 12 August 2013 Apparently Arsenal have had a £20 million bid accepted for Gustavo, good signing if true.
MC Prussian Posted 13 August 2013 Posted 13 August 2013 Oh, look. Watford's Vydra joins Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion on a season-long loan: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23680716
ScouseFox Posted 13 August 2013 Posted 13 August 2013 Liverpool paid around £55 million for Downing and Carroll about 2 years ago and this summer have sold both for a combined £20 million or so. Good business.

Dan Posted 13 August 2013 Posted 13 August 2013 £20mil for Gustavo is a bit much although he's the type of midfielder they could do with, so it's probably worth it.
Stadt Posted 13 August 2013 Posted 13 August 2013 Gustavo and Diaby if played together would surely boss some games if combined with Arteta/Cazorla Gustavo and Diaby if played together would surely boss some games if combined with Arteta/Cazorla
Kitchandro Posted 14 August 2013 Posted 14 August 2013 I can tell I'm going to enjoy watching Medel. The man appears absolutely insane. It's all in his face. Like a coked up South American gangster.

Finnegan Posted 14 August 2013 Posted 14 August 2013 I can tell I'm going to enjoy watching Medel. The man appears absolutely insane. It's all in his face. Like a coked up South American gangster. A tough tackler, nicknamed "pitbull", Medel was sent off three times in 31 appearances last season and has been dismissed seven times in 90 appearances for Sevilla since joining from Boca Juniors in 2011. lol
StanSP Posted 14 August 2013 Posted 14 August 2013 Gustavo and Diaby if played together would surely boss some games if combined with Arteta/Cazorla Gustavo and Diaby if played together would surely boss some games if combined with Arteta/Cazorla Diaby is crap! One good foot and will probably never complete a full season without injury. Not good enough for Arsenal at all I think.
Jimothy Posted 14 August 2013 Posted 14 August 2013 Diaby is crap! One good foot and will probably never complete a full season without injury. Not good enough for Arsenal at all I think. I like Diaby, when fully fit he's been a good player, not the greatest but certainly good enough for a top 4 team. His problem is he's made of glass, and can't complete even a decent run of games, let alone a season. But he's certainly not crap. Couple of seasons back he played in a more advanced role and was brilliant.
StanSP Posted 14 August 2013 Posted 14 August 2013 Hmm not sure he's good enough for any top 4 team. Certainly can't see him in United,City or Chelsea squads. As for Spurs, I'd rather have Sandro and Paulinho way ahead of Dembele.

As for Spurs, I'd rather have Sandro and Paulinho way ahead of Dembele. Well he's never really had a run in the team like most the other players because as mentioned he can't stay fit, so bit harsh to judge him sporadic 5 games spells against someone playing 25 games on the spin. The spells I've seen of him he looks good enough, his only issue is he can't stay fit, so is basically useless. For me his ability isn't really in question, just his fitness.
StanSP Posted 14 August 2013 Posted 14 August 2013 His right foot is extremely strong. The rest is all average. Saying that, though, the best thing he has ever done is kick John Terry square in the face.
Super_horns Posted 14 August 2013 Posted 14 August 2013 Reports that Suarez will now sign a new contract/stay at Liverpool. Wish these people would make their minds up then there might be something else for the press to talk about.
marko Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 Moyes is feeling the pressure! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23710359 Someone should tell him everyone has to play everyone else twice.
Corky Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 He is cut from the same cloth as Fergie- moaning about fixtures. Just get on with it ffs, you play everyone twice, no-one gains a real advantage.
Father Ted Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 Diaby is crap! One good foot and will probably never complete a full season without injury. Not good enough for Arsenal at all I think. A fully fit Abou Diaby is world class! Is it me or has the Tottenham exodus gone completely unnoticed? Gallas, Caulker, Huddlestone, Parker, Dempsey have all left and Bale and Defoe have both been linked with moves away. Vertonghen could be out for the first 2/3 months of the season too. Tottenham are looking extremely light at the back atm. Wouldn't be surprised to see them finish midtable, especially if Bale left.
StanSP Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 A fully fit Abou Diaby is world class! 'world class'. There's barely a handful of world class midfielders on the planet and even a fully fit Diaby isn't near them! That term gets bandied around to freely.

Tottenham are looking extremely light at the back atm. Wouldn't be surprised to see them finish midtable, especially if Bale left. Had noticed that too. I'm guessing Kaboul is back so that will fill a gap in a the back along side Dawson, but after those two I think that's all they have if Verthonghen is injured. So very light at the back. Seem overly heavy in the midfield area too, with Dembele, Paulinho, Sandro, Sigurdsson and Holtby, and they've just added Capoue too. Even if Parker leaves, that's a lot of central midfielders. Like you say with rumours of Defoe going, I think even if they keep Bale, they need a centre back and a striker or two because I can't see Adebayor doing anything special again.
