ScouseFox Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Lamela is gonna tear absolute shit up. What a bloke. Apparently he sat and cried for ages when Roma told him they couldn't refuse the offer because he didn't want to leave.
Stadt Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Lamela,Eriksen,Capoue,Dembele,Lennon,Holtby,Sigurdsson,Sandro and Paulinho of the top if my head,I suppose you could include Chadli as well. Chelsea have an abundance of midfielders too.

Chelsea have an abundance of midfielders too. Plus Townsend too. And Caroll. All different types of midfielders though, but they do seem to have a lot of central ones. Eriksen, Holtby, Sigurdsson and Dembele would all class a sort of attacking central players. Paulinho, Sando, Capoue and Dembele can all fill defensive slots. Lennon, Townsend, Chadli, Lamela, and to a degree Sigurdsson all fill wider positions. I don't think a team really needs that many players in each of those positions.
theessexfox Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Chelsea can make a starting X1 of midfielders.

Guest ttfn Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Spurs could feasibly field a squad of: Lloris Walker Dawson Vertonghen Rose Paulinho Capoue Dembele Lamela Soldado Lennon Subs: Friedel Kaboul Sandro Eriksen Defoe Townsend Chadli If Lamela is half as good as I've read he is then that is a title challenging side. If not this year then next, especially if they can add Coentrao. I'm having £5 on them this year. So much squad depth and a brutal looking midfield.
morris1234 Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 I'm amazed at the amount of highly rated foreign players joining the premier league. There's usually a few that create a bit of excitement and are focused on somewhat but this year has been like no other for known talents joining the league. Jovetic, negredo, Willian, etoo, schurlle, navas, fernandinho, aaspas, Eriksen, Lamela, soldado, capoue, osvaldo, fer, wolfswinkel, altidore, giaccherini, bony, chadli, paulinho.... Will it stop?

sdb Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Best players in the world still don't play in the EPL though. Nor do any world class British players now
KFS Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 We needed that hit of class players coming in from the big teams though, last year it was all a bit stale. Manchester United and Arsenal still haven't signed anyone of note, so it's only going to get better. I can see Ronaldo in a United shirt come next Saturday for some reason...
21st Century Fox Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 So if Spurs do win it, then you've got to come out and admit your an idiot. If Spurs win the title I'll literally do anything you tell me to. Come on Kitch, you have to be slightly concerned now. You may at least want to invest in a small tube of lube... just in case

Finnegan Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Best players in the world still don't play in the EPL though. If Arsenal or United now manage to bring in the three Real names touted for departure once Bale is confirmed, there'll be a hell of a lot of Europe's big posterboys in the Premiership. Alright, Messi and Ronaldo both play in Spain but they're complete anomalies. The two of them apart, I'd say there's a reasonable balance in "stars" between Germany, Spain and England.
MikeyT Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Good game so far between Man City and Hull. Could have been goals already.
jonthefox Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Spurs will challenge for the title next season I reckon. There's always the chance this season, what with the 'big' 3 having new managers. Personally i'd love to see them do it.

Guest shearfox Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Man City do not look good, lost to Cardiff and now struggling at home to Hull... Spoke to soon 1-0
RonnieTodger Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Has anyone noticed the serious lack of British players being signed this year? Obviously not a surprise with home-grown inflation and all that. Doesn't look good though.
Richard Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Is Coentrao still included in the Bale deal? If so they have a quality squad this next season. Not just a team but a squad full of talent
Super_horns Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Di Canio won't last long with results like this. Criticising his players in public even if its deserved won't go down too well with them.
SystonFox Posted 1 September 2013 Posted 1 September 2013 Am I the only one who doesn't understand the Tottenham wank fest?
