ousefox Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 Cardiff paid £8.5m for Caulker who had a season in the prem too. People wanting £12m need the head checking
Monsell1976 Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 We have a small squad and should be considering adding quality not selling it, obviously that's if we are serious about promotion.
Jace Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 Sven would have paid £12 million for Liam Moore if he wasn't already here
Scoobyrob Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 Think comparing him to what's around he's worth about 2 mil. On potential he's probably worth about 3.5 to a premier league club. If Pearson had stuck with him last year and he'd played a good full season and impressed he'd be worth about 5. Think in January we may get offered around 3 and turn it down.
StanSP Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 A lot of the values quoted are potential values for Moore, not current market value. Newcastle wouldn't pay more than they want to for the latter value. I don't believe a word of it anyway; not a coincidence that these rumours come a day after Pardew's comments. Pinch of salt.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 Anyone else got visions of 51 (currently) fat geordies sitting at their desks going, 'well why wouldn't he wanna come to us like? Dya know whadda mean man?'
AKCJ Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 I'd sell him for 4m. He could well become an England international in the future.
shen Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 £1.5mil sounds fair. If they offer double that we can't say no. He's not THAT good either. He's only just started to play regularly and comparing him to Stearman's and Mattock's selling prices, I don't see how anyone could claim he's worth more.
kingfox Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 It will be the only way for him, to be picked for next year's World Cup. Sell him in a swap deal for Gabriel Obertan.
Dan Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 £1.5mil sounds fair. If they offer double that we can't say no. He's not THAT good either. He's only just started to play regularly and comparing him to Stearman's and Mattock's selling prices, I don't see how anyone could claim he's worth more. When Zaha is going for ten times that, I think we have every right to want more.
Dickov22 Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 He's gonna lose his place soon to Wesolowski isn't he? So surely he's not yet ready for the Prem. It'd take a ridiculous offer from them for us to sell. Wasilewski even!

GingerrrFox Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 There's no chance he goes for less than £5 million. I said earlier the market these days for young English talent shows we could conceivably ask for anything between £5-12 million.
Leicfox Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 According to the papers yesterday Newcastle are also interested in signing Tom Ince for 4.5m.
Manwell Pablo Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 I like him but... 5 million quid?!? I've seen worse players move for more.
sylofox Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 I've seen worse players move for more. We have bought worse
Merging Cultures Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 5m in January would be ok business. I wouldn't want to sell him for less.
muzzy1981 Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 Ain't gonna happen this season. If we don't go up and pearson goes then yes
sylofox Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 Ain't gonna happen this season. If we don't go up and pearson goes then yes They will all love playing for Malky Mackay
shen Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 When Zaha is going for ten times that, I think we have every right to want more. Firstly, it's Newcastle and not Man Utd that are interested. Secondly, Zaha is an attacking player, and attacking players have a tendency to cost more than defensive ones. Thirdly, Zaha, like it or not, is a far greater talent than Moore.
Silverdaz Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 When Zaha is going for ten times that, I think we have every right to want more. Yes but Zahas is about 5x the player Moore is
