dayday Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 The last thing we need,is to start selling our assets...... We should tell Fulham and anybody else to do one or they will be beaten with a bog brush.
Hack Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 £5million with him coming back on loan for rest of the season is the only way i think he will be sold. You don't think Fulham are trying to buy players to help their survival in the PL. They would not buy to reloan out again. We are not talking about Man U or Chelsea. This is just a matter for LCFC to decide is there any price for us to sell a key player who happens to be home grown in a year when we really have a great chance of going up. For all those arguing about how is he worth what ever we say he is worth an what ever someone will pay. Didn't we respond to the initial offer that he is not for sale at any price. if this 4 mil offer is real and we reject, I reckon that will be the end of it.
rico Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 According to that Burnley forum,Fulham are bidding £4 million for Ings aswell, but they reckon hes worth £10 million
lgfualol Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 According to that Burnley forum,Fulham are bidding £4 million for Ings aswell, but they reckon hes worth £10 million He probably is worth that much for them, without him they'll spiral down the league table.
Babylon Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 It's not what his market value is, that's probably not much more than £3m. It's what he's worth to us at this moment in time, we have a settled winning side and are currently top. It's going to take a ridiculous amount to get us to sell... at this moment in time!
Guest ttfn Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 According to that Burnley forum,Fulham are bidding £4 million for Ings aswell, but they reckon hes worth £10 million They must be paying him a fortune eh Albert?
Babylon Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 They must be paying him a fortune eh Albert? £60k a week surely.
cityfanlee23 Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 I cannot believe this thread has got so far to be honest, He's not going anywhere.
LCCFox96 Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 I cannot believe this thread has got so far to be honest, He's not going anywhere. This. Moore and even using another club example of the previously mentioned Danny Ings would not leave their respective clubs for a side up shit street in the premiership when they are sitting 1st and 3rd in the championship table. Moore is a local lad and living the dream - we know what promotion/the title would mean to him as fans we all dream about it too. He will stay and fight till the end to achieve the clubs goals this year. Danny Ings is in a similar situation. The form of his career with goals and u21 call ups a plenty. Burnley actually are having a good season and have one of the best sides in the division. It's no fluke they have been up there for this long. Why would he risk leaving his best ever shot at premiership football with his current club to go into a relegation scrap with a seemingly inevitable outcome and risk passing Burnley in the opposite direction at the end of the year.Fulham are desperate, hence they are the only sides to put alleged £4mil bids in. There's probably a reason other clubs haven't moved on these targets yet- they can appreciate they will probably want to stay and see out the job this year and remain settled while in top form. Besides surely Fulham would also be better looking at a more experienced and established premiership players to aid their cause. On a seperate note, with Phillips and Mahrez having arrived and the loan/departure of some players like Waghorn and SSL apparent including Danns and Whitbread who have already been loaned I think we have done good business. Why would we mess that up by selling Moore? Can't wait for the window to close now.
Happy Fox Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 £5million bid in Will be rejected again Good.
foxer Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 £5million bid in Will be rejected again Blimey that's a massive offer but as Babs has said below, its not his market value - but what he is worth to us, and the fact that we don't need to sell and may be going up this year. I'm delighted that the management/DOF/Owners are doing exactly what we want them to. It's not what his market value is, that's probably not much more than £3m. It's what he's worth to us at this moment in time, we have a settled winning side and are currently top. It's going to take a ridiculous amount to get us to sell... at this moment in time!
Happy Fox Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 I'd snap their hands off at £5 million Only if we were able to reinvest that money into buying some quality players that could step up, and would we be able to do that in January? I am not so sure.
Libertine Dream Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 Shows the importance of writing that debt off when we did. We'd be in no position to reject 5 million if it hadn't been
Carl the Llama Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 Not a chance you could replace what Moore gives us with a paltry £5m. I think Fulham need to learn when a joke's becoming too repetitive.
Babylon Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 Shows the importance of writing that debt off when we did. We'd be in no position to reject 5 million if it hadn't been We would.
sylofox Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 5mil is still a joke. The damage letting him go could do to the squad ain't worth 5mil. We would need to replace him and have at least that left in the bank. We should be able to report fulham to the league. We have said he is not for sale and that should be the end of it. Roll on Feb 1st ffs.
Bryn Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 We should be able to report fulham to the league. Don't be a tart.
sylofox Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 Don't be a tart. So you think it's fine for them to keep coming back and risk upsetting the player when we have said NO. That then could lead to disrupting the squad.
Babylon Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 5mil is still a joke.I wouldn't say £5m is a joke, that's a perfectly decent offer. And if we weren't where we are now, we certainly might be accepting that. But, Fulham need to realise we will only accept idiotic type of money for a player at this stage of the season and where we are. Edited due to shite spelling.
Lambert09 Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 So you think it's fine for them to keep coming back and risk upsetting the player when we have said NO. That then could lead to disrupting the squad. I suppose you don't want to hear the 15 mill offer either
Guest kristianity77 Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 So you think it's fine for them to keep coming back and risk upsetting the player when we have said NO. That then could lead to disrupting the squad. I think its perfectly fine that they keep coming back and upping the offer for one of our players. As each time they do so and each time we keep rejecting it puts a smile on my face that Pearson and Co know exactly what they are doing and are intent on keeping hold of our best talents. Let them keep coming, 6 million, 7 million. IF we do sell him at some point there is nothing that any of us could of done about it so why worry about the politics or business side of football at all. Thats how it is and how its always been.
davieG Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 Nigel Pearson is unaware of an improved bid from Fulham for highly-rated Leicester defender Liam Moore, nor would the Foxes boss welcome one. Fulham last week had an offer of around £2million for the player rejected and were told that he was not for sale. Leicester see academy product Moore as an integral part of their plans as Pearson attempts to end the Midlands club's decade-long absence from the top flight. And Moore played his part on Saturday helping the Foxes keep a clean sheet before David Nugent's late goal gave them a 1-0 win at Leeds - a sixth straight Sky Bet Championship victory that extended their lead at the top of the table to five points. However, reports since have linked the Barclays Premier League strugglers with a new move for the England Under-21 international. Pearson said: "I've not heard that. Even if it's made up I'm not really particularly interested in all honesty. "I've said many times that I want to try and keep the team and squad together. "If a club came in with a higher bid then my view is I don't want to sell him, but sometimes as a football manager you don't always have the luxury of having what you want. "But I spoke to (director of football) Terry (Robinson) and we're quite clear on how we want to go forward with the squad. We've put ourselves in a good position so I don't see any reason to jeopardise the work we've done so far this season by letting one of our young players depart." After gaining first-team experience with loan spells at Bradford and Brentford, Moore has established himself in the Leicester team and emerged as one of the best young talents outside of the Premier League. Newcastle are among a handful of other top-flight clubs to have sent scouts to watch the 20-year-old but Fulham are the only ones to have made a bid. Moore has 18 months remaining on his current contract at the King Power Stadium. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9125733/championship-leicester-aiming-to-keep-fulham-target-liam-moore?
