Liam Moore subject to a bid from Fulham.

Which bit of 'Liam Moore is not for sale' is confusing Fulham ?? If they really are making an increased bid then I can only assume they are getting encouragement from Liam himself or his agent.

wow calm down haha, maybe they just want the player so theyre prepared to fork out a bit more?

all agents job is to get their player the best money/club so of course, unless hes been instructed otherwise from liam, he'll be 'making friends with fulham' if you like

I do love a good conspiracy theory but this is nothing like a good one.

Could it not just be they really want him and are testing the water to get him as cheap as possible.

The boy is class and it would be daft to sell - we need to go up and he needs a couple of seasons up there with us - if he then decides to go, it will probably be to a top club that none of us could begrudge him ( unless we're a top club by then!!!)

I think he has great potential but every player has their price. Personally I think we will keep him as his wages will be relatively low for now and replacing him would be fairly difficult. I would not feel confident chucking in any of the other CBs right now on a regular basis.

yes but if his wages are low then he could double/tripple what he's earning here - that's the problem that his agent will want to exploit

Are Fulham actually in a position to offer new signings huge wages for 3.5 years when they are in such a precarious position? Even if there's a clause in there for a drop in wages should they go down, Fulham are on a downward spiral and we are riding a wave (at the moment). Liam would be swapping his wage for a moderately better one...for a few months. If Everton came in for him, I'd totally understand him going. He'll stay and see what happens. Hopefully he'll be playing in the blue of Leicester in the PL.

Sky and the merc both report we've told them he's not for sale. Is this all coming from a sun report? If so considering how much they get wrong I'd believe the merc and even sky over them. If they do come back and offer 3m and we turn it down what will they do then, 4m will get you a defender with more experience than Moore, he's got potential but the situation they're in they haven't got time to hope he hits the ground running.

This transfer won't happen.

The club wouldn't even consider anything less than 5million with significant add ons and a % of next sale but even so they won't do anything that might disrupt the squad now

How much did Sven pay (lose) on signing Matt Mills?

Double that figure and tell Fulham stump up or else go away and concentrate on your relegation battle.

Even if the clubs agree a fee, liam is under contract so doesn't have to go anywhere, and to be fair there isn't a chance he will go to a club that is as poor as Fulham, and a club we will swap places with, when we get promoted.

Some of the prices quoted on here are ridiculous. I don't think any club is prepared to pay what he is worth to us at the moment but a £4million bid would be foolish to turn down.

We don't want to sell, Moore has shown no signs that he's desperate to leave, plus Fulham have a billionaire owner and twelve years of Premier League money. We should take them to the cleaners like any club in out situation would. £8m or no deal.

they may seem ridiculous. However its market forces. You think 4 million is fair for moore?

I'd say closer to 10. Caulker went for 8 and I dont rate him. Will hughes is garbage and people are starting at 6 for him.

we dont need to sell dont want to sell so why would we take 4.

I think it'd actually be crazy to consider. We're top of the league and in with a great chance of promotion. What do we actually get out of selling him?

We gain:

- £4 million pounds for a 20 year old player who, whilst looking good and showing good signs of potential, isn't worth that much, in a vacuum.

We lose:

- A great player

- A good prospect - i.e the potential player we could never afford to buy

- Consistency at the back in a season where we're trying to get promoted

What good is £4m+ to us now? We'd only have to replace him anyway, and a good quality CB, who could help us either challenge in this league or be good for the PL would easily eat up most if not all of the money we'd gain.

If we get promoted we'll gain a lot more than £4m. We don't need the money.

If we wasn't doing so well and didn't look like we'd have a fantastic chance to go up then I think the club would consider around £4 million as it would be a lot of money to turn down for a club in the championship.

Saying that we're going really strong in the league and things are looking very positive for us that we'll get promoted so I think it would be foolish to let a player go with so much potential for anything less than ridiculous money (assuming we don't need to sell due to FFP, which with the owners clearing the debt and we've added to the squad i'd assume we are fine).

As for Liam, you'd think that being a local lad and getting regular first team football in a winning team he's happy here and it's great for his development. Has a good chance to be playing in the Premier League so wanting to leave for that reason is a major problem either. I don't think we have anything to worry about tbh with regards to this.

Would be a ridiculous fee 2 accept.

We are top of the league and he's a first team regular.

It would cost that to replace him and also disrupt our squad.

Could take 6 weeks for a new man to settle in a key position.

That could cost us promotion as I have said they should put 30mil on his head.

And thats cheap if he went and we messed it up and missed out.

We don't need to sell so if anyone wants a key member of the squad they should pay well over the odds,

The owners have just cleared the 100 million debt. Why would they want to cash in, even at 4 million? He has all the foundations in place to become a future England player. They/the club will be wanting to keep him at all costs. Only way this will happen is if Moore forces the issue, which I don't think he will.

I like Liam but a lot of you have blue tinted glasses on. He looks nowhere near as good as Terry or Ferdinand did at his age so to say he will play for England is jumping the gun a bit. However with the right training he could become a fringe player like Dawson. Saying that, he has a long way to go and would need to be at a big club (you know how the national team works) to be considered. We don't need to sell, I'm sure he doesn't fancy Fulham and I can see him being at the club for the rest of his career... Here's hoping!

I'll give you Rio, he was a regular for West Ham in the premier league at the same age, but Terry at that age was loaned out to Forest where he only got 6 games and wasn't making the Chelsea team, so I'd love to know how you know he's was better.

We've got little to gain and a lot to lose in selling him. Our defence seems to have restabilised since his reinstatement and the guy looks capable in a couple of positions. With something as important as promotion at stake why would we ever put it at risk for £4m?

It wouldn't be £4m profit either. Liam would need replacing and getting someone of the same quality wouldn't come cheap even if they could be found quickly enough in the first place.

Pearson's shown he's a manager with many strengths and one of the most important seems to be the small-squad stability he's introduced. Why disturb that unnecessarily at this stage?

Four million pounds is peanuts compared to the potential rewards of promotion and either way, barring injury, we can't lose to keep him. If we do go up Moore will be worth more and - from his own and his family's perspective - he'll be getting Premiership wages. If we somehow stumble agian and don't go up Moore will still be worth at least the £4m Fulham have offered and will likely be commanding better wages just the same whether at Leicester or anywhere else.

There's one more thing. Attainments matter in football and for Moore to get "Promotion to the Premiership" on his CV, especially this early in his career,  will be worth a lot. Managers like winners.  .

I confused Terry with Woodgate to be honest, Woodgate was doing the biz for Leeds at an early age too. As I say, i'm not knocking the lad, think he could be a great mid table perm player (hopefully for us) but unless he improves significantly I can't see him mixing it with the big boys. Saying that, anything is possible, not many of us thought Dyer could improve but he's playing above himself this year and if you look at Jordan Henderson, he's come on leaps and bounds this season for Liverpool.
