sylofox Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 So our three main rivals all play each other and we have what looks like the easier run if games. Laaaaaarvley. 3 big draws would be nice. Then we are into march (although the last game is March 1st)
Mickey O'Neil Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 QPR have now won four on the bounce. A draw for me there please because I fear Saturday and Bournemouth.
Foxes Blue Blood Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I think a win for Burnley would be good for us, it would maintain the 8 point lead on level games with us going into the Bournemouth match. It would also create pressure for both QPR & Burnley with Derby & Forest breathing down their necks! We could relax (a little) and just concentrate on our own results.
Russell sprout Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Never thought ild say it but ild like derby to take 2nd place,I hate London clubs, also,it's a 6 point handicap for next season
Bert Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Derby are only one point behind Burnley!!!But Burnley have a game in hand.
foxfanazer Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Never thought ild say it but ild like derby to take 2nd place,I hate London clubs, also,it's a 6 point handicap for next seasonI'm the same. Maybe they'd care about us if it was us and them in the prem and their lovers stayed in the championship
Happy Fox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 The only reason I want the sheepshaggers promoted is that its a guaranteed 6 points for us.
Dan Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I am genuinely not that bothered about this game anymore and that can only be a very good sign.
foxfanazer Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 The only reason I want the sheepshaggers promoted is that its a guaranteed 6 points for us. Plus they'd get absolutely hammered every week
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 As it stands I don't want QPR to do better than us and given a choice I think a draw suits us best no matter what the result
Dan Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Looking at the other sides' fixtures, I think we could be laughing. If we see February through strongly then we'd have to have a serious cock up to not win the whole league IMO.
Foxhateram Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Draw for me! Pick up 2 points on both teams if we win. The gap looks great and if we can keep our good form going ( not necessarily winning but keeping momentum) then I think we will win it. Confidence is sky high, were playing good football, we have strength in depth over most of the field and were in line with FFP. The future is bright.
Babylon Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Definite draw, I'd rather have QPR looking over their shoulders than focusing on chasing us down.
Webbo Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Draw or a win for Burnley, it's all about the title now.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 NOW do people want a QPR win?? Certainly not, after last nights result I want the draw even more bud! Pressure the chasers whilst saying mind the gap.
dayday Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Charlie Austin injured and out for a long time according to sky reports
Finnaldo Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Charlie Austin injured and out for a long time according to sky reports Definitely a Burnley win or a draw now.
Guest ttfn Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Definitely a Burnley win or a draw now. QPR have won four in a row. Burnley have won four times since October. Even without Austin, QPR are hot favourites.

Austin has contributed 45% of QPR's goals this season, the highest scorer minus Austin is Matt Phillips with three. I can see Burnley winning this 2-0.
cjslcfc Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Definitely fantastic news for us as they were starting to pick up wins
Fox92 Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Never nice to see a player injured but it really is good news for us. QPR have a talented squad let's not forget that, but Austin contributed with so much in terms of their attacking play.

It's not as if were Austin not playing they'd have not scored those goals. No doubt he's been crucial for them but they've got so much quality behind him they'd have found a way. I just think the fact that Burnley are still lurking is clouding some people's views here. They've won 4 of their last 13 league games, they're in poor form. QPR are in great form and have got the knack of winning ugly.

Burnley had their BEST spell last season when Austin was out injured - in fact in his time at Burnley he was on the losing side more times than the winning side. Could be that QPR's results will improve if A. ustin is out injured although Burnley have done well recently against the Hoops and are unbeaten in 8 since 2007 - 4-2 , 2-1, 0-0, 2-1, 1-0, 1-1, 0-0 and 2-0 this season. QPR have the best defence in the division and Burnley the second best so it will probably be a seven-goal thriller on Saturday. )
