#lcfc Nigel Pearson refuses to deny interest in strikers Fraizer Campbell, Connor Wickham and Leonardo Ulloa. Wants 2 more signings if poss.

Do you guys think, 2 may mean about 5 again?

Where's he getting this 'two' from? Did Pearson say that or is he making it up?

Bloody hope it's more than two anyway. We're clearly looking for a forward so that's one. Wouldn't have though our management team would want to attack this season with only two wingers in the squad and/or with our current options at LB.

If we only sign 2 more players then that will be very surprising.

He said "one or two" in the interview I heard. But that was just a phrase I guess

He said 1 or 2 to Stringer in his interview.

He has said that many times though, I still think we need at least four, a CB, CM, WG & ST.

I really don't think Morgan, Moore, Wasilewski & Upson will cut it. Definitely need another central midfielder with a bit of experience maybe Premier League wise or internationally. Winger now Dyer has gone that leaves us with three again, we need an out to out winger, as I can see Mahrez or Knockaert maybe coming into the middle more next season. Striker is a must, whether it's one or two who knows.

Also at the minute, I have a funny feeling he will stick with Jeff, and see how he performs, he has the pace to keep with the better Premier League wingers.

We're starting to sniff of a bottom of league with 10 points club. Nigel needs to sort this out.

Get a grip.

Because we haven't spent millions of pounds on new players? Derby spent upwards of £10M in their record breaking season.

We have a side that performed extremely well in the Championship last year, we do not need to make wholesale changes to stay up, in fact doing that would probably weaken us.

We struggled at LB most foe the season so I say we deffo need extra there, and a winger, deffo need a new CB and a striker we are a birth thin on cover if somebody is red carded, injured etc but I'm not the manager NP so I will let him deal with this, if it doesn't work then we know what will happen next.....

The Pearson bashers will be out in force lol

Yes, but looking at it now, I can't see the squad staying in the Prem.

Promoted sides, usually strengthen the spine of their side, that being CB, CM & ST.

Cardiff, Hull & Palace all did it last season, get that structure right then we will have a much better chance.

Cardiff - Caulker, Medel, Cornelius - Cornelius was of course a failure though.

Hull - Davies, Huddlestone/Livermore, Long/Jelavic

Palace - Dann, Ledley, Gayle/Chamakh

Leicester need to copy.

Why do we? One of those sides failed to stay up, one didn't survive that comfortably and one looked very good only after they sacked the incompetent manager who made the decisions in the Summer. Don't think we need to copy any of them.

Especially as the spine of our squad is vastly superior to all three of theirs when they went up.

Yep Cardiff failed, but Bruce did ok with Hull, the likes of Davies, Huddlestone & Livermore made a real difference, if they didn't sign them three, they would of probably got relegated also. Crystal Palace, Pulis brought in two of those players I mentioned in Dann & Ledley, he obviously identified that they were the type of players he needed to buy, to have a chance of staying up, which they did.

I think fans are expecting the likes of Morgan, Drinkwater & James to slot into the Premier League with ease & have no problems, not necessarily.

Don't improve the spine of the team, could be disastrous.

Mark is, correctly, challenging your opinion that we should rip up our spine and start again.

It's good enough, we need to fill a few gaps and improve the squad, that's all.

Amazing how quickly some have forgotten just how good we are.

There are at least 8 teams in the Prem we could have competed with without adding anyone.

We'll comfortably stay up.

Sign players who on paper improve the spine of the team, but who upset the balance of the squad and locker room then it could be dangerous. Nigel Pearson is in the best position to assess the situation, he has a good track record and we really ought be trusting him regardless of his decisions. The fact that he's signed Upson and is clearly in for at least one striker suggests that he falls somewhere in between the two opinions at the very least. But we have got a very good team here at the moment, capable of a lot.

I believe the team could finish top 12, with a few additions. Pearson knows all about balance & which players are right for the team, whoever he signs whether it will be a CB, LB, ST or whatever, he will more than likely get it right.

He has got in the Premier League experience, now we need to add a few quality additions. The spine is ok, but it could also be improved, I think Drinkwater & James will do perfectly fine, if they have a bit of Premier or International experience alongside them. Morgan will remain, but he needs quality alongside him, if fans are willing to rely on Upson & Wasilewski then god help them. A striker is a definite, so no point talking about that.

This is utter rubbish, you're talking out your arse mate.

Cardiff were absolute shit and finished bottom.

Long and Jelavic were January signings, and Hull's form was worse in the second half of the season.

Dann and Ledley were January signings, and Gayle and Chamakh were signed by a different manager.

None of them systematically strengthened the spine of their team in the summer after coming up. The only one who you could even argue a case for having done that is Cardiff, and look what happened to them.

We do not need to copy any of them.

Whether they were signed in the Summer or Winter, it doesn't matter.

I bet if Hull didn't sign Davies, Huddlestone & Livermore they would of gone down, I'd love any of them at Leicester tbh.

Pulis did a marvellous job, identified what he needed for Palace to stay up, so happens that Dann & Ledley came in as starters.

I honestly can see us struggling if we rely on Drinkwater & James especially next season, their is no Premier League experience at all in midfield apart from Albrighton, and central midfield is more important than the wing. Drinkwater & James up against the likes of Gerrard, Matic, Toure is not worth thinking about, in games like that in my opinion we would need three in midfield, would you be happy to rely on King or Hammond?

Why are you panicking now then? We've got 6 months to sort this shit out.
