Fosse93 Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 If you're only as good as your last game, then Sturridge must be terrible. He was England's worst player at the world cup and that is some achievement considering they were all terrible! Please tell me this is a joke. There were far worse players in the team than Sturridge, he was probably our best player.
Blanesta Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 I think we need some players that are really good THIS
jock2612 Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 I see the latest Burnley target Troy D from Watford for 2-3 million.. Good or Bad ? I think he could be good if you can make him fit in.Think NP could do this.
surrifox Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 I think we need some players that are really good better tell Nige - it might not have occurred to him
Babylon Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 I see the latest Burnley target Troy D from Watford for 2-3 million.. Good or Bad ? I think he could be good if you can make him fit in.Think NP could do this. Surely with the amounts being asked for Champ strikers it's going to take more than that to get him.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 Surely with the amounts being asked for Champ strikers it's going to take more than that to get him. Sure I read somewhere that they'd already turned down £6m?
Babylon Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 Sure I read somewhere that they'd already turned down £6m? Swansea have just bid in excess of £5m for him.
RizLCFC Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 Love him or as most LCFC fans do hate him, he's a good striker, deserves a chance in the Premiership. I wouldn't be surprised if he was on NP's list of targets.
DanTheFox07 Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 don't think we will be in hunt for deeney, need a target man!
Ric Flair Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 Hopefully he goes for that price and it lowers Brighton's expectation for their Ulloa asking price. Deeney is better than Ulloa so I reckon they should let us have Leo for £4.5 million
Babylon Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 don't think we will be in hunt for deeney, need a target man! When I've seen him against us he was brilliant at holding the ball up, immensely strong.
Jon the Hat Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 We aren't going to get your top top players, but maybe a couple of top bottom, or middle top players. Top middle would be incredbile, but why would they come to us at this stage? Palace are a safer bet for that kind of player on hard times. We have some potential with Drinky and James - I can see them maving from potential top to middle top or even top bottom in the next season. Think Lallana. All make sense? As long as they all keep their heads down and work hard we will see the best of them. They are a good bunch of lads and we will doubtless redouble our efforts week after week if things dont go to plan. We have faith in the players that took us up, and it is only fair to give them a chance to fail before we replace then with cash hungry mercenaries QPR style or we might be the next Portsmouth rather than the next Southampton. We should copy these teams who updgraded their spine, even if we can only get a couple of fresh vertebrae in before the transfer window SLAMS shut. Then there is always the loan window to look forward to. When does the loan window shut? Emergency team anyone?
wakeyfox01 Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 There is no loan window in the Premier League. Once he transfer window shuts, that's your lot until January.
jayfox26 Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 Please tell me this is a joke. There were far worse players in the team than Sturridge, he was probably our best player. nope not a joke, he was awful except his goal vs Italy, which Rooney put on a plate. His touch and finishing was embarrassing. If he had played half as well in this tournament than he did for Liverpool we may have done better but you're right there were others that were terrible too! I expected big things in this tournament from sturridge and I personally thought he was awful!
jayfox26 Posted 9 July 2014 Posted 9 July 2014 I personally wouldn't want Deeney. I don't think he's any better than what we've got. We need to look abroad, there must be far better strikers out there. Haven't Burnley had a bid of £5m rejected for him?
JJS84 Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 John Percy @John__Percy · 9m #lcfc set to make final £7.5m bid for Leonardo Ulloa & offer Jamie Vardy new contract via @Telegraph http://fw.to/K1W1uae
Lambert09 Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 #lcfc set to make final £7.5m bid for Leonardo Ulloa & offer Jamie Vardy this terrified me ha
kingfox Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 A proven goalscorer, considering our first bid was £3 million, & we are now looking to pay £7.5 mill is a joke. Not worth the hassle.
lgfualol Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 They'll say no, he'll be unsettled and we'll get him for 4m in January.
Nick Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 A proven goalscorer, considering our first bid was £3 million, & we are now looking to pay £7.5 mill is a joke. Not worth the hassle. Why worry? If Nigel wants him then that's good enough for me. Stop whining KF! I wonder if we'll be successful this time having maybe destabilised the player and club slightly..... hope so.
MozeyCo Posted 10 July 2014 Posted 10 July 2014 A proven goalscorer, considering our first bid was £3 million, & we are now looking to pay £7.5 mill is a joke. Not worth the hassle. By continuing to bid higher and higher, we will be held ransom for other players, I agree, 7.5Mil is a total joke for Ulloa.
