Raj Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 i couldnt give a fook about HIS life being wasted as others have said, hope he rots in prison and dies there cos when he gets out it'll pnly be us tax payers coping for his anonimity.
leicsmac Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 I suspect in these cases people just think they are full of shit. I wonder how many such attacks are in fact prevented by someone telling their teachers. That's true. Differentiating between someone saying they're going to do something fvcked up (or even showing the implement with which they're going to do it) and them actually meaning it and carrying it out can be difficult in the schoolyard, because quite frankly students talk so much nasty shit anyway.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Judge at Leeds Crown Court have now named him. Inevitable. I saw that. In quite surprised in some ways - if he is a psychopath he'll probably enjoy the notoriety
Bert Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Just my opinion, if you're capable of committing murder you deserved to be named and shamed.
DennisNedry Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Naming him is stupid because now think of the cost to the taxpayer of giving him a new identity down the line. Seriously... why... can't...we...just...execute...him?
Raj Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 in this case even the human rights monkeys cant say he doesnt deserve hanging!!
David Guiza Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 in this case even the human rights monkeys cant say he doesnt deserve hanging!!Punishing the horrific act by publicly hanging a 16 year old doesn't quite scream 1st world justice to me. But, I guess that makes me a human rights enthusiast haha.I don't think disagreeing with hanging makes me or whoever else sympathetic with the murderer - I couldn't be less sympathetic, I just don't see how you can preach that what the lad did was unforgivable if the punishment is equally so. Just my view though.
Fox92 Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Naming him is stupid because now think of the cost to the taxpayer of giving him a new identity down the line. Seriously... why... can't...we...just...execute...him? Cost of taxpayer too.
Happy Fox Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Fly him to Iran and they will happily execute the bastard.
Carl the Llama Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 What a disgusting and barbaric act. Fortunately most civilised people realise how inhumane the act killing another person is - he should be killed for not knowing this. Besides: If you want to punish someone, ending their life's the worst thing to do - how do you even punish a corpse?

purpleronnie Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Being mocked because we don't believe a 16 year old should be killed. Dear oh dear.
Jon the Hat Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Wut? The Death Penalty is too barbaric. It's not enough of a punishment. Pick one. It isn't a difficult concept. The family of the victim suffer for the rest of their lives. Why should the murderer be allowed to stop suffering in a matter of years? Better to reflect on it for the rest of his unpleasant life locked up. Also there are any number of reasons why killing people for any crime is disagreeable. For a start, sometimes we get the wrong person. I don't want to live in a country where the state can kill its own citizens as a standard procedure, regardless of the crime.

I just don't understand how you can simultaneously say that the death penalty is both "too barbaric" and "not enough of a punishment". They're contradictory terms.

Carl the Llama Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Wut? The Death Penalty is too barbaric. It's not enough of a punishment. Pick one. Why? In sentence one I point out the hypocritical nature of the death penalty stance. In sentence two I address a separate point (indicated firstly by the start of a new paragraph and secondly by use of the word "besides") to show that it isn't actually a punishment as far as the criminal's concerned anyway because what does he care when he's dead? He's just been spared spending the long rest of his life in a tiled cell! The only logical argument I can think of for the death penalty would be the money saved on having to feed and clothe the prisoners throughout their sentence, but when we start killing people because it's the more economically viable option then we have a whole new issue altogether. If you want to know what I personally think we should do to punish him: Put him on manual labour so he'll actually be of some use to us with his 6ft2 frame, but have him receive regular psychiatric assistance too. If after the 20+ years of physical hardship and rehabilitative interaction he's still aggressive and unremorseful, then we should flay him. Flay the fear of death into him. Flay him until he's in so much pain he begs for the sweet release of death, even. Then, when he finally understands the reality of our mortal fragility and his mind collapses, we can rebuild the newly broken soul into a more respectable citizen through softly spoken suggestion and roughly dealt coercion. But then I'm just all crazy and liberal like that.
Tom's Pasta Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Sounds like he had a decent background as well, part of a good family. You just wonder how someone can develop into a murderous psychopath, violent video games? Mentally Ill? I can't comprehend it.
LCFC Rennie Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 The fact he could be out in 20 years with a new life and new identity makes me sick.

Guesty Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Why will he get a new identity? The only reason the Bulger killers did was because they were so young. It must be quite rare for new identities to be given out. I imagine they'll say he's old enough to know the consequences therefore he isn't eligible for a new one.

Most criminals of that nature get new identities; pretty sure Huntley's girlfriend got a new identity for example. Age is just one of many factors taken into account. i cldnt give a fook hes 16. It's more the fact that hanging is barbaric, revenge not justice, a ridiculous example to set and belongs it's the dark ages, not 21st Century Britain.
marko Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 Sentencing remarks if anyone wants to read them. http://www.judiciary.gov.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/r-v-cornick.pdf
Raj Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 might stop a few crimes being done though if criminals think they will get severly dealt with rather than the usual slap on.the wrist and out in half the time wiv good behaviour. Perhaps hanging is abit extreme and just posting emotionally(mrs is a teacher n a mum too!)
