Marmite Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Reading v Burnley Florist v Brighton Thought they might have picked Leicester with us lifting the trophy and the possibility Doncaster could go down
Danizen Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 They will still have coverage of us getting the trophy and, of course, there's always the red button....
lgfualol Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Not surprising. Hopefully another tv station shows it.
Mark_w Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 I thought they might go with the Burnley game and our game as there's something riding on both and it's the last chance to show the two best sides in the division. Shame.
Kitchandro Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 That's rubbish. As a neutral I care far more about who goes down than who gets into the play-offs. I expect a huge anti climax. Typical Sky this year, they've made some absolutely shocking choices.
Fox42 Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Only reason I can think of is less viewers if they hosted our game seeing as it's a sell out
Babylon Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 I thought they would go for the Brighton one and the Birmingham one, to ignore the relegation scrap completely over getting a play off place is ridiculous.
ealingfox Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Burnley are a favoured Club, are we really surprised? Depressing that we'll be swapping The Footburnley League Show for Match of the Burnley next season...
C-man Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Sky, as per, have royally fvcked this up. Literally not one sh1t will be given across the land about whether Reading manage to clinch a play-off spot. They fvcked up last year when it was actually exciting (i.e. 2 teams were playing against each other for the play-offs with other teams were involved too) and they've done it again now. In general, relegation battles are far more exciting. Not bothered whether City are on TV or not but clearly Birmingham and Doncaster are the two in most danger and should've been shown. (You have to expect that Millwall and Blackpool will beat teams with nothing to play for). Plus they would've had the added benefit of us lifting the 'SkyBet' trophy live. Not the first time they've fvcked it this season. Putting us on the Friday night vs Wednesday rather than 5.15 on Saturday was stupid. Putting Burnley on before Derby when they could've clinched was even more silly. Whoever picks their games needs sacking.
Banks Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Burnley are a favoured Club, are we really surprised? Depressing that we'll be swapping The Footburnley League Show for Match of the Burnley next season... What an awful wind up.

No they didn't. The Hull and Watford games were far more important and almost as exciting.
The Doctor Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Awful choices - the relegation battle is the most interesting thing this weekend. If forest were playing for the playoffs like last season then that would be a good watch, but as it is...
C-man Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 No they didn't. The Hull and Watford games were far more important and almost as exciting. Sorry I didn't really notice or care what was on last season but the rest of my post stands.
fox766 Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 Sick of sky being so far up burnleys arse just see who they have nominated manager and player of the season it just confirms it. What do we have to do to get any recognition obviously winning the league is not enough somehow second is better!!!
Finnegan Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 That's rubbish. As a neutral I care far more about who goes down than who gets into the play-offs. I expect a huge anti climax. Typical Sky this year, they've made some absolutely shocking choices. ... Uh? Just... Uh I can't be bothered. They're perfectly logical choice games. Nobody gives a **** about Doncaster, you're just being outraged for the sakes of being outraged.
Kitchandro Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 The thing is you expect Reading to do the business at home. Forest also have nothing to play for. Down the bottom things are more unpredictable. Brum are shit but do ok away and Bolton have been in good form but in truth aren't much kop either. I could understand them not putting us on in a way because we will be heavy favourites to deny Doncaster of a point, but they need a result and we don't. What exactly will sky sports news show? They'll have Soccer Saturday on won't they.

Tommy G Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 People moan about sky for the sake of moaning about sky? Give it a rest. We all know you watch it if leicester are on, or super sunday, or MNF etc etc It's boring

ScouseFox Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 i like that on here we spend the whole season abusing sky for choosing our games because we don't want to be on sky and then the one time they look elsewhere we have a cry because we really want to be on sky now. seems odd.

Look at the amount of stupidly long journies they've made earlies as well. Burnley v Ipswich & Sunderland v Cardiff were given mid-days this weekend. I also think it's a joke how the entire league has to move to 12:15 on the final day to accomodate $ky. Yeovil v Middlesbrough is now a 12:15. I agree that every game should kick off at the same time but 12:15? Can they not just edit the contract to allow for one matchday where they can show 3pm? Oh no wait that would probably jeopardise Malaysian's interest in the '#EPL'
